differences in short acting adderal and adderal xr

My daughter was recently switched from twice a day dosage of the short acting adderal to the extended relief at once a day. She is complaining that she doesn't like how this one feels and wants to go back to the short acting. I have noticed her attitude has gotten worse and some of her behaviors seem to be more dramatic as well. Is there a timeframe that is required before the transition is complete? Should she be experiencing a niticable difference in the way that she feels? I was assuming that physiologically she would not notice a difference with the exception of the amount of time the medication worked.

What dose of short acting Adderall was she taking before?  What dose of the Adderall XR is she taking now?

Hi i've just come off of adderal xr and shortacting, to just vyvance. So i have just recently gone through those stages. All add medications will, at first, make you feel different. What you should ask her is... Do you feel that you have tunnel vision, trouble eating, depression, or jitters. I told my doctor the same thing, she said the tunnel vision, and jitters were normal, and would go away as your body gets used to the medication. However trouble eating and depression are more serious and might need to be taken care of. When I first started, I lost 15 pounds or more because of the effects of the medication, but regained my weight as we found a new medication. If tour doughter says she is depressed, watch her very closely untill you can find a doctor to talk about this.
