Does anyone know what this sounds like

I'm a 37 year old woman. I've always been a little twitchy, but a couple of months ago I started having a stiff, rigid, tense feeling in my limbs that almost feels crampy. I've had a few cramps in my feet. I've also had a lot of tics and weakness. Some days it is hard to lift items and walk up steps. It fluctuates alot from day to day. I had a little numbness in the beginning, but none now.

Does als fluctuate from day to day, does it affect all the limbs at once. I was wondering if it could be something like myasthenia gravis, but i don't have any facial symptoms and that wouldn't explain the tics and rigidity. All my blood work came back normal, except a positive ANA (would mg cause this), a borderline impaired glucose tolerance test, a negative CK (or it might sound like polymyositis). My MRI came back normal, and 5 more weeks until my EMG.     Any information would really be appreciated.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

I'll bring it up at my next appointment. I knew it was on "the list" of possibles but I don't know why I never looked it up or thought about it. And the doctor didn't order either test or mention it. Do you mind if I ask what your symptoms were, or are. How long did it take you do get your diagnosis?

Thanks again,  Cari

Be sure you have lyme disease ruled out. ASk for a western blot and ask 'Did any bands come back positive and which ones"

I had an abnormal emg ..in 3/4  limbs. Contant twitches ansd fasiciulation. Please have lyme checked. If the have done the ELISA request the western blot. Do some reading on lyme so you can advocate for the WB test.

I was told I might have ALS.....then it was MS ...then it was CMV and EBV ...then fibro then.....

I have lyme
