Weird Left side feelings

In January, I decided to go off my anxiety meds called lexapro cold turkey.  I had all the withdraw symptoms, but about 3 months in my left leg suddenly felt very heavy at lunch.  Then, this feeling changed to just a weird sensation with a falling asleep feeling in my left foot and then in my left arm. My left limbs just felt like they wanted to fall asleep, but couldn't. At the same time I had a slight cramp in my left calf.   Then, for about 2 weeks it seemed to go away and then all of the sudden it came back.  Now my left side just feels heavy and weird.  It feels like it is stemming from my shoulder and then my hip.  Some days my I have pains in running down either side of my hand.  When, I am running my left leg feels tired, but not to the point that I can't run anymore. I have also started getting twitching feelings all over my body.  I have been to my Primary Care Doc and he seems to think it is the way I sleep because sleep on my left side. I am scared to death.  Could the twitching be from anixiey?  Could this be from sleeping wrong. I have had something going on with my left side for almost 3 months.  Could it be Als or would it have progresss.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks for talking the time to try and understand my story.  It is really hard to explain the felling

Getting tired quickly is not an ALS symptom.  Cramping can be, but with the way your symptoms are I wouldn't attribute it to ALS.  I think having the neuro appt. is a good idea, to put your mind at ease.  Your symptoms are wide spread along with twitching.  Not the way it usally works.  I think you will be fine.  Drink lots of water and take a magnesium supplement.  that has helped in a ton

Now, I have a left bicep cramp to go along with it and my arm gets tired quickly.  It feels like it is have spasms every now and again and I still have muscle twitching all over the place and when I am trying to go to sleep.  So, are you saying that the cramping feeling I am having in my bicep is a good thing.  I am still scared to death.  I am going to make a neuro appointment and let you know the outcome.  I just want this to go away and it seems to be getting worse!

There is absolutely no doubt the stress and anxiety can cause twitching.  I have been twitching all over for 3 months.  I noticed one twitch in my hand and I googled it and all hell broke loose.  The next day I was twitching everywhere.  I saw the Neuro and ask him and he told me to stay off Google.  Body wide twitching is not associated with ALS.  It's possible later in the disease, but by then it would be obvious something is wrong.

My left side and right side have had migrating tingling and weakness for 4 months.  It defintiely has gotten better with time, including the twitching.

Pain associated with ALS is not until later in the disease and it's from lack of joint movement.  ALS doesn't start with pain.  Pain is good right now.  It definitely points away from ALS.

ALS is a tough one to get over.  Try to keep busy and immerse yourself into a project.  With time you will get better.
