It is very normal for you to have no self esteem in the life of being abused. Your self esteem will come back when you realize that you are better than that. It is also normal to feel guilt, shame, embarrasement etc. These emotions are all typical. You do not say if it is physical, sexual, verbal or a combination of all so the only thing we can do is give general answers. The abuser usually is a control freak as well, so I am thinking you worry about telling anything further for fear he may find it. I hope that is not the case, but we are here for you when you need us. Hugs

Alright.  I don't know the exact story with what's going on with you, but I'd like to know what's up.  So....what's up?
