Persistent Folliculitis on scalp
I have a problem with scalp Folliculitis for 3 months. I have on and off 1 to 3 pus filled bumps on my scalp and itchy scalp too. Sometimes, i can have none at all.The first Dermatologist prescribed me Cefixime, Erymed and Desolex ointment. it does not heal and seem to make it worse. after a month, the second doctor gave me flucoral and her own shampoo and it is still there. swab test for bacteria after two months with results staphylococcus non koagulase. I am afraid of other underlying issues. I have general blood tests and blood tests for infectious diseases including HIV, all come out negative. I have high cholesterol.
