As you are aware, after age 35 ovarian function declines.  Chinese medicine can help improve ovarian function (via Chinese herbal formulations, catered to you specifically) which you would probably need to take for at least 6 months, while concurrently getting acupuncture.  However, there is still no guarantee that you would get pregnant, as each of us brings a different set of circumstances to the table (previous pregnancies, history of fibroids or endometriosis, auto-immune disorders, etc.) that factor into our fertility.    Many women have great success, but some do not.  Good news is that if you decide to do IVF, getting acupuncture both before and after increases the likelihood of viability by 40%, which is quite significant.

I am 38 years old and my husband is 39, we are trying for our first child. I have had 3 failed IVF cycles. My factors are a blocked tube, hard cervix, and I was JUST TOLD yesterday my husband's sperm morphology isn't that great. With my last IVF cycle, I did acupuncture.  This past July I began seeing a certified chinese herbalist. I have been drinking the prescribed tea for 6 months.  I only have 1 IVF cycle left with my insurance and after 3 cycles and my RE JUST now telling me about the sperm has really upset me. I wanted to try IUI again but the doctor is not hearing it.  I'm looking to go to another RE, but I want to wait it out a bit. I am going to continue with the teas. Is it possible the tea could correct the blocked tube and soften my cervix?

A member reminded me in a previous post about a good resource, called ABORM, for finding an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility in your area.  That website is:
