Adderall Forgery Investiagtion

I am wondering. How long can an investigation for forgery of 4-5 Adderall scripts can last for?

The pharmacies ask for ID for all narcotics these days. They do it here in TX too. You are probably ok, just don't ever do it again!

There is absolutely NO way they would have let you leave that store with that prescription if they suspected anything. End of story. Schedule 2 medications are ID'd all the time. It's not something new. That pharmacy would be in one heck of a problem if they let you leave with a forged prescription if they suspected anything at all. Think about it...you leave with a Schedule 2 med. You're mentally ill. You OD. The police get a call from the pharmacy. Who's in trouble here? Yeah, the pharmacy is for letting you leave. I've asked two friends in my rehab who are pharmacists, and both said the same thing...if they suspect a bad script...the police are called and they never leave the pharmacy with the script. End of story.

I know around here when someone has a forged script the cops are called right away and that person is arrested after they walk out of the store.  Doesnt take them long here at all.  Please try and calm down.  I think you are worrying about nothing.

I haven't had the need to go see him in a while.

I am still seeing my oncologist though.

There is nothing you can do except dont repeat what you have already done.  If they come after you then you will have to deal with it.  Nothing we can say will make you quit worrying.  We dont know if they are investigating this or not.  Are you still seeing the doctor you got the blank scripts from?

I don't have an addiction problem so I don't know what to do at this point. I have no possession of any substances and my system is clean of any drug, I don't even drink. I guess I should still get into some sort of treatment but I don't even know if its free and I am sure it will take up a lot of time from my schedule. I just honestly do not know what to do in spite of all the advice given to me, I am still somewhat of a wreck about all this. I just post here to get the attention necessary. The most I've done so far is have an attorney's phone number in my cellphone just in case, haven't even met one because of money, which is all they care about regardless of my problem. I don't even trust them in case they might rat on me to start a case going and get money out of it. I just don't know what to think or do to be honest.

Thanks for the advice.

After reading this post  and remembering your  original post I think on 9/4, which I just read again,    what actions have you taken?    There was a lot of great advise regarding treatment for addiction, talking with your doctor, etc...........
Personally I would read the advise you were given a month ago and follow thru with those suggestions you feel comfortable completing.......   life is not a crystal ball    I truly doubt anyone here can tell you  today  what will happen legally, anymore than they could a month ago.... taking responsibility  for your actions and determining if you truly have an addiction problem will behove you more so than incessant worry and doing nothing.  Good luck.

I think they are investigating because they have my ID. They let me walk out because everything was fine with the pharmacy profile as well as everything else like script info. I just think they got suspicious of the handwriting and so they ID'd me. They will obviously let me walk out with it since they already ID'd me, one more fraudulent count will be better for them and worse for me, I am sure that's what they want.

I feel they are waiting for me to go back after a month and since I wont since I don't have a reason to or scripts, they will come looking for me then.

I am scared shitIess but thanks for the words of encouragement though.

from your last posts what has changed? Veilo they gave you the script and let you walk out of the pharmacy.  What leads you to believe they are investigating?  What is different from your last posts please tell us otherwise it's really tough to help.  Has anyone even contacted you?

I also live in FL and RX drugs here are huge....especially getting them illegally.  Theyve been cracking down on it big time.  Not trying to scare you by any means.  You would know if you were being investigated.  They would have called the cops immediately.  Let it go and try to forget about it.  Whats done is done....cant do anything about it now.  Move forward.  Just learn from your mistakes and dont do it again.

I know this has to be driving you nuts. But you also could have gotten away with it. So just try to put it away for now. There are somethings in life I worried myself to death over, and in the end nothing came of it, so all that worry for nothing. There is a big chance nothing will come of this. Easier said than done I know. The 5-7 years is right for a felony. But you also have to see that there would not have to of been that much investigating for them to get you for the forgery. No reason for them to sit on this for months and months. There isnt alot of evidence to have to gather to get you for it. So to me..this is just my opinion..I think they would have done something by now if they were onto you. Go on about your life and stop worrying about this. And of coarse everything that you are doing to better yourself in the mean time is something the judge takes into consideration if anything comes of this. My son had some pretty serious charges, he got clean (clean for 16 months now), by the time he went to court for his felonies he was well on his way to recovery, going to 4 meetings every week. Even thought he is now a felon, he only got a yr probation. The judge looked at everything he accomplished during that time. Keep that in mind. Good luck to you!!!

Thanks for your concern. Since this immature and irresponsible incident, I've been through a living hell. You have no idea. I have panic attacks and just to think of the outcome, just destroys me emotionally. I just do not belong on this situation but after all, no excuse is valid to such actions.

I did tell my Oncologist and he sent me to a psychologist and put me on antidepressants, which made me worse. He is somewhat of a ***** so talking to him was difficult for me specially that at the time I was so lowered in both physical and mental state that I just went ahead and took action by my own means, which was obviously the wrong thing to do. I just don't know what was going through my head. (I can't believe I hear criminals say the latter, and now I am saying it!)

I am all better in the physical sense now, a lot more active and coming back to a normal life again but at the same time, this whole situation has me so preoccupied that I can barely stop thinking about it. I was OK for a couple of weeks but now that a month is coming up, I am starting to freak out again! And now people are telling me 5-7 years!

I've been wondering about you! I think it's probably safe to say by the grace of god you got away with it THIS TIME!! But I wouldn't press your luck, which I know from your former posts this scared the s**t out of you, I feel bad that this issue is still renting space in your head, for now I would just try to lay it to rest! Did you go to your doctor and explain your lack of energy after the chemo and ask for the adderrall legally? I do hope everything works out for you, you certainly have been through alot..Keep posting I am interested in how your holding up!

I am in the state of Florida. By contacting an attorney, would having his phone number on my cellphone be enough? I haven't even met him yet. Should I meet him and tell him my case? I just feel I can't afford it.

I was asked for an ID last time I went tot he pharmacy, it was also the first time I was at that pharmacy so I think that is was they ID'd me. On Octobe 6th it will be 1 month since my last visit to the pharmacy.

I wish for Dr Jeffrey T Junig "Dr J" answers these questions since I've been told he could be very helpful with the subject.

About addiction, I was never really addicted to them. I was just getting out o chemotherapy for another condition and I just felt I needed that boost, I never took them all, in fact,I would throw them away and just take a couple whenever needed. I didn't even ask my Oncologist because I felt I could take the risk since I had those blank scripts, big mistake! I know. (I posted here on the "Addiction" section because I know it would get the attention needed)

Even though I am not an addict and I have no drugs in my system right now, should I still seek some sort of treatment for it?

Thank you everyone.

Obtaining scheduled drugs by any illegal means (diversion through Dr. Shopping, prescription forgery, etc) is a federal offense and has statute of limitations between 5-7 years. I don't think it would be a problem for us former addicts if you keep your nose clean after a while. If you suspect you're being investigated, seek a competent attorney and get into treatment. It means a lot to the judge.

as long as it takes to build their case, and as far as stutue of..., that is i think like 5 or 7 years for a felony which this is

I would assume as long as it takes until the cops figure out exactly who is behind the forged scripts and have enough evidence to convict. As for statute of limitations, I have no clue but I am willing to bet that it varies state to state. If this is something you are concerned about, you may want to contact an attorney. You will want an attorney present should you get arrested. Don't answer any questions until you have one.

I hope it all works out!
