Changes

Change is hard. you fight to hold on, and you fight to let go. but some of the most beautiful things are the product of change, take butterflies for example <3

She was a butterfly and flew nicely, then she started taking opiates that gave her these wonderful but false chemical wings that slowly destroyed her real wings until she ended up in a cocoon, she stopped taking the opiates and life felt terrible for a time, like there would never be joy again without those chemical wings, she had not taken flight on her natural wings for some time and had forgotten what that felt like, but she remained steadfast in her resolve to stay opiate free and slowly grew her natural wings back and they felt more wonderful than ever before after having known the experience and pain of losing them"...
