Chest Pains??

I started taking Mobic which is a NSAID on Tuesday. Yesterday and today I noticed that sometimes I have a hard time taking a deep breath sometimes for several minutes and have some pain in my chest... Has anyone ever had this happen?? Could this be a sign that I am allergic to it??  I have also had not really much relief from it either so if I should stop taking it I will.. I was also prescribed Skelaxin which is a joke for a muscle relaxer.. with as much pain and spasms I am in this isn't even touching it..
Any help would be appreciated..
XOXO

Hey FLaddict, I just had the same issue yesterday with another NSAID (Soma). I felt weird and
had like a heavy feeling over my chest and back of my neck. Had some pains in my arms and
my heart beat was off. The Soma's didn't even touch my pain, just gave me scarey chest issues that
made me stop taking them right away. I did some research on NSAIDS and they actually stop the
healing process for your injury all together. They just mask your pain and cause more joint damage
in the long run, just like Cortisone shots do.

Hi sweetie!! I loved the pict you showed a couple weeks ago. Now I know just what you look like when I see you out here. 50 days! wow!!!  Its almost 2 months. That is Great. Well I never did what the doctor said when he upped the suboxone. The #8's are larger and they are nasty under my tounge. I take one 8mgm. a day. Yesterday I forgot and it was not a big deal, soon i could taper off without much of a problem. Now I am working with the chantix. the ciggs. The doctors don't know the best thing always. They have soooo many patients that sometimes they oversee things. I'm looking into changing over to this other doc at the clinic there. She's a female. lol. more later i'm off to work in a few.      stay sweet!!!!  you've been so much help to so many!       love Cathy

I have had meds do that to me too. Did you google the drug to see the adverse reactions? I would check with my doc on that one. If I get nervous about something happening in my chest area, I always check my pulse to make sure it isn't the heart. If this continues today, I would go to the ER.
It could be anxiety from the w/d's. Wishing you the best.

My mother-in-law also had trouble with mobic. She, too, felt like something was kind of heavy on her chest, and although she didn't have TROUBLE breathing, she felt like she couldn't take DEEP breaths. I don't think she had chest pain, but def the breathing stuff. As soon as she stopped, it went away. But I agree with Tim...if you don''t absolutely need it, stop taking it because the chest area isn't a place you want to mess with. Hope that helps some.

The whole class of drugs has there share of unknowns and suspicions - if you google mobic you will get better info then i could provide

i used to take vioxx once every 2 weeks before the recall- i didnt like celebrex because of how it made me feel- i guess i trust my body more than the "expert studies"

i would stop taking mobic- i had it for shoulder pain when vioxx was the new evil (and i dont buy the way the study came to their conclusions)- to make a long story short, mobic has its own set of issues and if it makes you feel funny, avoid it
