Depression? Lack of engery/emotion

I have been really unmotivated to work, to leave my house or to do even common chores. I seem to lack energy and maybe even emotion.  I went to Hawaii recently and found myself not that thrilled to be there, as I have on past vacations.  I find myself watching hours of mindless tv.  I only get done what I feel I have to to pay the bills and not upset my GF.  I am wondering if I am depressed or something else??

For full disclosure I used Nubain for years and have been sober for over 2yrs.  Historically speaking I have always been motivated to work and make money, but not for a while, maybe months..  Any ideas please!?

I know exactly what you mean! Oh my! I started a new job the other day, (a really good friend 'got me in') and I got there, couldn't even seem to focus, didn't want to be there, had no desire to even go back!
I called him and told him that I can't seem to rid of the depression and anxiety about even leaving my house, let alone working and focusing on something, so he told me to just come back on Tuesday..
Oh my- but anyway, my doc told me to start taking Vitamin B..
Everything will pass, it always does, believe that!

Did you find the link?  I googled "LDN Therapy" but I didn't see any info relating to jump starting the natural opiates/endorphins.  Thanks in advance

Ah, if you don't want to wait, the suboxone board naabt. org has a thread that provides it and a people discussing how it worked for them.

LDN therapy is low dose naltrexone therapy.  It is possible your depression could be connected to your nubian use. I think you're right, it is opiate based...and if this has been going on since stopping the nubian, LDN could help.
It's a new/old use of naltrexone, used to "jumpstart" the receptors in the brain that create natural opiates/endorphins.
I've got to hunt up the link...but don't pursue this until you've seen the link. It's very specific in how the medication has to be made up (especially the inactive ingredients) and gives a list of the few pharmacies in the country that will dispense it reliably. I'll find the link and get back to you later today on it (going out now, Thanksgiving and all. :)  )

Thanks for the reply. I live In MN, I can relate to ice storms...  I haven't been to the doc in ~4-6yrs for a physical.   Think a physical is a good place to start.

Another-  I was when I started.  Many of my friends at the time were also.  From my experience Nubain is used by bodybuilders for a "quicker" recovery after hard workouts, but usually leads to addiction as it gives a instant buzz and a clam relaxed feeling.  Sober, from Nubain.

Savas-  Not sure, I know it's an opiate.  What is LDN therapy?  Do you have a link?

What's the base medcation in nubian?

Either way you may want to try the LDN therapy. It could help, can't hurt.

Are you a bodybuilder?  Of did you take the Nubain for pain management?  When you say "sober" do you mean clean from Nubain or Alcohol?

I should also mention that I can not seem to focus on any one thing.  I could be doing laundry and walk by the fridge and find myself making a snack when I am not hungry...

I'm no expert, but it sounds like depression to me..I'm not familiar with Nubain, but I do know that up until recently I was experiencing much of the same..still am to a much smaller degree.  My wife and I were both in the same boat and were given a trip to Jamaica last Christmas...and we we enjoyed it there but we just not overly thrilled.  Even less thrilled to come home to an ice storm but that's another story...

Have you been to a doctor for a physical?  That might be a good start to see what's going on.
