Funny things your pets do ?

Sadie my Schnauzer plays peek-a-boo.  I say....I see you....and she covers her eyes with her paws.  It's so freaking cute !  We also play......fall down on your head.... .  She only does this in the bed.  She lays her head down and sticks her butt way up in the air.  She does it on command....fall down on your head.

Zippy my Rat Terrier must sleep under the covers.  I don't know how she can breath under there. So when I tell her to go to bed and lift the covers .....under she goes and stays there all night.  It's so funny if she hears a noise, She gets up like and looks like a ghost. Scares the **** outta Sadie. lol

My vet called Rocky (the Rottie) "a foreign object eater". He will eat anything you give him and when he was younger would eat rocks, blankets, nails, wood....anything. He also had to have emergency surgery to remove a large knotted peice of fabric he just swallowed. Now I give him rawhide chews to keep him from eating other things and that has worked out great. I have no problem giving him pills since he will just swallow everything given to him. He especially loves to eat paper towels, tissues or toilet paper. Bathroom doors stay closed.

Suzi- LOL oh yeah the cats will NOT leave the Xmas tree or decorations alone at all! I cant tell you how many times Ive put ornaments back up on the tree. The kitten is particularly wicked like Jacqui's! I cant keep her off the kitchen table or counter either!

Oh I was afraid to hear something like that...and I pretty much knew that's how it's gonna be with a cat.  I have a bunch of Santas to put out, and a bazillion ornaments to put up with our tree.....thank God my husband got a crate from someone.  This cat is so bad at night, causin' all kinds of mayhem.  As soon as I can find the space for it, Baby Cat's goin' in it at night.  It will keep us all sane and alive.

we have 5 cats (yes, 5!) , and this is our first christmas with all of them.
Well, 2 of them love to climb up our Xmas tree They perch themselves and swat at each other. Today I came home, and ALL of our ornaments were on the floor except for 3!!
so. I put them all back on and went to do laundry, only to come back and POOF they were all on floor again. I decided to watch and it was so funny. They would swat at each ornament until they were on floor!  Frustrating.........but oh so cute!!

Opens doors on her own........I mean door knobs.......I've never caught her doing it but would give a million to see how she does it.......she also steals pies off tables, and carries her food bowl across the room.........its a heavy bowl......and when she gets angry or frustrated she will plop herself on the floor and give a loud uhh..... and cross her paws.......like a human......she is scary.

My baby Frasier...the one I "fluff" the food for...will also bring me gifts of mice and birds.  Oh and a baby rabbit one time.  Our house is on 3.5 acres, lots of area to find prey.  My other cat's will do it too...bring me gifts and sometimes they are still alive as well.  Then they will play with their food...it's disgusting.  Then I have to yell at them to kill their food all the way...ridiculous! lol

I love all these food stories too.  Too darn funny.   WHen we used to have our pet squirrel, I would just about die when Id come home to find she had escaped her cage (she would chew through the WIRE cage from time to time and you'd have to patch it back up with fencing stuff lol) anyhow, Id come home and immediately know she had broken out. Things knocked down all over the place- vases, CURTAINS, pictures, ceramics, knick knacks and then there was the food mess. SHe could open the cupboards (dont ask me how, they musta been partially ajar????) and she had bags of potato chips torn open, raisins, fruits, and even gnawed the lid off a ketchup bottle and sucked some of that down, rofl.  SHe got into EVERYTHING. I sure do miss her though, she was a unique pet.   I have pictures of her in my profile if you want to see her and some of her antics

(as you might be able to tell, Ive owned ALOT of pets in my life lol)

snowflake- one of my cats once ate like 400 cubic yards of nylon thread, LOL.  Not sure if she found a loose end on a matress or bedspread but it was that type of thread and the only reason i knew she had ate it was because she still had a foot of it hanging out of her mouth. Took her to the Vet and he said UHHHHHH she needs stomach surgery and lo and behold her belly was full of that stuff. He said she would have died if we hadnt of seen it hanging out of her mouth- that it would have bound up her intestines or cut them. THis happened a few years ago the day before thanksgiving, so they sent her home the day after surgery and i had to tend to making a big dinner AND taking care of a sick/mending cat LOL

Not just dog food either. We have actually made special trips to Dairy Queen to get them ice cream for gods sake!

My pit is obsessed with my boyfriend.  That is her daddy and she wants to make sure I know it...at all times.

So, anytime I am laying by him in bed....or God forbid the nasty is about to happen...Nope.  Not with her around.....it's actually so funny what she does.  Well, I guess I cant get into too much detail but it's so funny and we cant do it because of her. He ends up with scratches on his back ... NOT from me. I always tell my bf that i am dying to tell my mom about it...but, i can't because it's just too much info for a mom to hear about her daughter.

Our Akita can open doors, even if the doorknob is fastened securely.  She can also open the fridge door.  While we were out, she opened the fridge and she and our Siberian husky took out all the cold meat, cheese, bread, etc. and a two liter bottle of Coke.  They had a real food orgy.  When we got home, they were lying on the floor with †he food gone and the top chewed off the Coke bottle, which by then was empty.

My "puppy" and I use this term loosely.  I have a 100 pound boxer that thinks she is a lap dog.  Anyway, she will be lying in the middle of the floor,  "toot" and she is just like a little kid in school, she starts peeking around to see if anyone heard her because she knows that once we get a whiff, we are going to scream, "go to the storage room".

My mom used to have a pekinese named "Gizmo".  After all the kids left home, that was her child.  She would go to the drive through at McDonald's and get him chicken nuggets, or she would cook him a piece of teryaki chicken.  She didn't do that for us.

another story- my favorite cat (whose been dead 3 years now), caught a mouse one night. He decided to bring it up to bed to show it to me. The mouse was still alive. I was naked. He dropped the mouse loose and it ran across the bed. I just about had a fatal heart attack on the spot. Now normally Im not particularly scared by mice, but all I kept thinking of was OMG that mouse is gonnna look for a hole to hide in    =X       LOL thankfully it did NOT and I survived

This stuff is too funny.
Snowflakes dish cleaning Rottie reminded me of Rocky cleaning the pool. Leaves or flowers from the planter sometimes fall in the pool, and I would tell Rocky to clean the pool. He'd go around and pull the stuff out.

Keep the stories coming, their great!

my shepherd mix is OBSESSED with chasing the light from flashlights! he goes nuts following it. He will claw the floor and bite the floor trying to "catch it". If you make the beam go up on the ceiling or wall, he will jump up on furniture to try and get it and jump so high its a wonder he doesnt break a leg. He also barks like a maniac all the while doing this.  WHen you turn the flashlight off, he will sit and just STARE at it forever, wanting you to turn it on again lol

I also used to have a sheperd that was smart as helll and when you asked her if she wantd to go for a walk,  she'd run over to the endtable and PULL THE DRAWER OPEN with her paw or mouth and get the leash out. She'd then carry the leash in her mouth over to you.   It was so cool.  I remember one time I came home and she had opened it up herself and had the leash laying on the floor, the telephone, and PIZZA COUPONS. I kid you not. I swear she was ordering a pizza while I was gone, LOLOL

I'll meet you in the living room and we can tear up that Christmas teddy bear. ......wait wait she's rubbing my belly.
