EVERYTHING relates to what I'm going through right now...

As I'm sure a lot of others are doing right now, I'm thinking about my addiction 24/7.  No matter what I'm doing or where I am I'm thinking about it and looking around at everything relating it to it.

As I sit here on the laptop in the livingroom (my usual position at home since I've found you guys... lol) my husband is watching tv.  I'm typing away and hear him say "All they are doing is showing the addict!".  I perk up like a puppy and start saying "uh, what?  What addict?  What type of addiction??"

LMAO.... he is watching a home improvement show and they were showing the before and after and he was frustrated because they were "only showing the attic".

Boy oh boy do I understand the talking in the sleep thing.  I never knew I did it.  Apparently when I'm really tired - or really drunk (in the past of course) I do.  And I've mumbled things that have gotten me in trouble.  When I was going out drinking all the time with my best friend we had a favorite bar we would go to.  We were there 4-6 nights a week (that should have been my FIRST clue!).  So obviously we became pretty good friends with the bartender, Kevin.  He would always give us free shots of tequila (I was a HUGE tequila drinker, my favorite liquid poison) because we would spend so much time and money there.  I would often get wasted (you don't say) and he would always ask if I/we were okay and keep checking on us.

Well one night I was drinking at home and totally passed out.  My husband at the time (first husband) came in the bathroom and I was on the floor.  He kept shaking me and asking if I was okay. I finally responded.  The only problem was apparently I didn't know where I was and said "I'm okay Kevin, just drank too much".  Big problem when my husband's name was Will.  I still don't think he believes the bartender story to this day.

Ditto with the dreams. In fact the night before last I had a dream that I got into an argument with one of my "friends" (dealer).  I was screaming at her about her stealing money from me or something.  I was even getting ready to whoop some a$$ in the dream...lol

I've had dreams where I've been on searches for pills, or that my doctor gave me a prescription but I couldn't find a pharmacy (more of a nightmare for an addict...lol)

They seem so real!

I was just like you and the dreams came a lot too!  Do you ever dream about getting the drugs?

That was very funny though - thanks for sharing!
