I have tried detoxing from pains meds many times, please remember everyong is different. We all respond differently to all meds. But I have to say if your Dr. wants to switch you to Effexor say NO! It is the worst. Good luck to all
seroquel is also used for severe anxiety and depression. the way they mix the drugs boggles my mind...but if it's working for jenn, why not keep going? i'd guess that seroquel wasn't the first thing they prescribed...
but hey, i'm not a doc! (thank god)
I wondered because seroquel is an antipsychotic .... use usually for psychosis and mania ....
I would discuss with the doctor whether it is really needed....

Thanks for your encouragement. I was put on Seroquel becuase of anxiety - before the detox. I am on Wellbutrin as well which was working and probally still is I would hate to see me without it. Yes the seroquel makes me really tired and I take it at night but I have a hard time waking up probally because I am not sleeping much because of the detox. I am going to see a new doctor Monday to check if I can get off it I dont know if it is working I am still taking Xanax for the additional anxiety. Thanks again and yes there is some great support here and I thank God I found this .......It has helped alot.....Take care
You are doing great ,you have come down 40 mg .There will be some depression.Going on an antidepressant is probably a good thing ....
Jenn Did your doctor tell you why she was putting you on seroquel? It is a very strong med ..
It will most likely make your very sleepy...
Take your time go down slowly . give your body time to adjust every time you drop down.
Post often there is tons of great support here ....

I am on Wellbutrin for depression and it was working I understand during this time nothing is normal in your body but I am taking it 1 day at a time I guess thats all we can do.......Great for you on your progress and being a mother at the same time, that is a full time job........Take care and God Bless
