I got to hear his voice...

After days of driving myself nuts and praying he was still in rehab, I finally got to hear his voice.  He cried pretty much the entire time we were on the phone and he thanked me over and over for helping him get where he is now.  I really hope that this works.  I want him to be a part of my life and our dd's life.  Please, if you pray, say one for us. We have a long 25 weeks ahead of us, but it is so worth it if he stays sober.

Thank you for your comments.  I am hoping that this is it for him. Now, a question. How do I support his recovery? There have been so many lies and hurt to overcome. Should I try attending Al Anon or something like this? I want to be as supportive as possible, and I know I need to begin my journey to recovery as well.

You will be in my prayers still - only for a different approach this time - I wish you the best of luck - and the best wishes that God will play a role in bf's life here shortly........and it will be so worth it if you can get him home clean and sober.

So glad to hear that he is still in the program.  Family and relationships are sooo much easier when everyone is on the same page.  I will pray for all of you.
