ROFL!!! I was going to type in some of the lyrics but then I was like "no, if she doesn't remember the show then it'll sound dumb and besides, I wasn't sure how to write out puk AACK! You did it nicely :) Thanks for making me laugh today.
When you find yourself in danger,
When you're threatened by a stranger,
When it looks like you will take a lickin',
(puk, puk, puk, puk)
There is someone waiting,
Who will hurry up and rescue you,
just Call for Super Chicken!
(puk, ack!)
Fred, if you're afraid you'll have to overlook it,
Besides you knew the job was dangerous when you took it
(puk, ack!)
He will drink his super sauce
And throw the bad guys for a loss
And he will bring them in alive and kickin'
(puk, puk, puk, puk)
There is one thing you should learn
When there is no one else to turn to
Call for Super Chicken!
(puk, puk, puk, puk)
Call for Super Chicken!
(puk, ack!)
I'm so glad you remember that show...I was beginning to think I imagined it :) I still sing the song from time to time. I totally loved New Zoo Review and the Bugaloos (can still sing them both...funny what stays with you). I don't remember the others, though. Not sure why since there were not that many shows on then compared to today. Another one no one remembers but me is Superchicken. You know, you're right, I think those creators must have been trippin on something to come up with that stuff. Whenever I go around the house singing the Superchicken song my 8 year old thinks it's nuts.
OMG! My sister and I used to watch that show all the time! My mom used to sing that song to us when we would act up.
How about the "New Zoo Review"? Or the Bugaloos, the Banana Splits, Dusty's Treehouse, or That's Cat?
LOL, I totally know what you mean about the '69! I don't remember Lidsville but loved Land of the Lost and Sigmund! I had totally forgotten about him. He was so cute and his family was always so mean to him. I seem to be the only one I know of who remembers a show (animated) called "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home." It had a catchy tune and I remember it was on in the late afternoon. Does anyone else remember it?

Sorry about making you homesick. :( I love Magic Mtn too but now I get sick from the rides. Old age I'm telling ya'. Yes, I was born in '69. When I picked the screen name I was hoping people wouldn't think it meant something else (if ya know what I mean..) so I figured I better add the 19 to it so no one got the wrong impression. LOL. And I love the show that your screen name is. Though, looking back, I'd hafta say those writers must have been on acid or something.
Does you or anyone remember the show "Lidsville"? Now that was definately drug induced. But gotta love "Land of the Lost" and "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters."
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Peace,
Jackie
SOCAL, thanks! I used to watch the tv show (major crush on the guy in it but I was a little freaked out by Witchy-Poo ). Anyway, the name just came to me when I was signing up. The big reason we moved away was to just be able to afford a house. And so I could stay home with our child. Both those things are do-able here. Still....there's no place like home.
Virgo1969...you are making me homesick! I love Magic Mountain. Spent my honeymoon in Big Bear. Were you born in '69? Thought maybe cuz of your name. I was.

Born and raised in So Cal as well. Still here. L.A. area. Love it! Minutes away from the beach, mountains, desert, Hollyweird, Disneyland, Universal, Magic Mtn. etc. And every now and then get to see a movie star or a rock star. (Big whoop I know... LOL)
Shows how closely I read, I thought it said SOCIAL742. Guess I need to wear my glasses more. God I am getting OLD!!!!!!
YAY! I like it here too except sooo expensive to live here. I like your name by the way!
I'm a SO CAL girl (born and raised) but have lived in TX now for 10 years. I like it here but my heart will always be in CA. I try and get back once a year if possible and the last time I was there I was looking at the foothills/mountains and I started crying! Not sure why...I guess the homesickness got me. It's really flat here in TX. Didn't realize how much I missed the mountains. Well, on a clear day, I mean...when you can actually see them:) I am from the San Gabriel Valley area. Where the LA County fair is and the drag races.
I'm a smokey N. Cali girl :)
What in the world is in Oklahoma? I will pass, Az I am always looking for work there though my family lives there!
i think there are some cali folks on here... they will come along.... if you want to move to oklahoma that would be good! lol
I posted a question months ago trying to find people in AZ that I could hook up with. Unfortunately, no takers. I think most people want to remain very private on here but I do know quite a few from CA and they do list that in their profile. Do a little searching and keep checking this post.
Im the Minnesota girl and im older than all of you(well not everybody)!!!!!
I'm proud to be from CA -- I tried the east coast for about 8 years, but this is where I left my heart.
I don't like snow!
I'm 33....I've been through a coupla things in my life! lmao...
