My Bad Luck Streak Continues

i swear to god Im not making this crapp up and Im not a drama queen but this is just the way my life is...can you believe after all the stuff Ive dealt with just this past 2 weeks alone, yet another bad thing has happened to me today?? Two of my front teeth just BROKE OFF today now!! I am absolutely horrified, it looks TERRIBLE as you might imagine and I have NO insurance at all. How am I gonna get this fixed?? These proofreading jobs are slowwww as all get out and certainly dont pay enough anyhow to finance the dental work I need (collectively I need 10 Grand to get all my teeth fixed- no BS that is the estimate I have printed out here and thats with their "discount special offer"!!!  I guess Im gonna have to learn how to talk, smile and laugh with my lips sealed tightly shut. Better get to practicing. The state of Ohio is being so strict on who can get medicaid these days that you pretty much have to be nearly homeless and pregnant. No chance of that happening. I think Im gonna go find a beach on hawaii and wait on the beach for the next tsunami to hit!!

avis- tell me about it, its so screwed up. I have been applying and reapplying and waiting and waiting. It takes sometimes up to 6 months to even get your DENIED response once you apply here. No joke!! When I use my mom's address for the application, they then take into account her income, assests, etc etc which even though she doesnt have a lot of money, they see that she owns her own home- its paid off - no morgage to pay- owns her own car which is paid off too etc they say she should be able to afford to buy insurance for us?! its so ridiculous. SHe is a retired widow living on pension and social security! She wasnt left a chunk of money when my dad died either so its not like she's got some huge life insurance pay off sittin in a bank either. But still, they are so damn picky about this stuff. Like i said, they primarily only accept pregnant women who obviously need the coverage in order to get prenatal care and to pay for the delivery of baby etc.    Back when i was living w/ the ex,  i was denied repeatedly as well because he DOES have a big wad of $ from inheritance which he blows on new dirtbikes and crapp repeatedly. Ive heard he has bought several in the last year - some as much as 7 grand a piece! It sickens me. I am now re-filing a seperate application which is called an Order of Support for Medical Care in hopes the State will require him to buy insurance for his kids at least.  That of course wont help me any, but at least they would finally get the insurance they so badly need.  Anyways, this system is so screwed up it's shameful. I do know I need to find a steadier job/income- i dont believe that Im entitled to "leech" the system, but work is so hard to find anymore especially the way my health is, im very limited in what I can do at this point.

Do you have a school in your town that can help you and not charge as much?Even a dental hygiene school may be able to help. or a denture therapist instead of a dentist may be cheaper.
Do you still have the teeth that broke off and if they are false I know people that use crazy glue to get themselves through a weekend and it worked.
If they are your own teeth,a dentist can put on phony space age plastic teeth if you still have your roots and that only costs about $80 per tooth.I am not talking about crowns but about a temporary plastic tooth that can be glued on.
I had one done about 10 years ago and it is still there.
I try not to use that tooth for biting and it only fills in a gap,but it is still there.

Below are income guidelines for specific Ohio Medicaid programs and populations. Applicants with income greater than listed below should still complete an application; they may be eligible for certain deductions that could reduce their income to help them qualify. Actual determination of eligibility is done at the county departments of job and family services

Family of  3 18,310     you would have to be making more the  3 18,310 to not qualify something is not right here ....
