The stew was a great success. I highly recommend it. My hubby is still eating it as we speak! And I bought a great french bread to go with it! yummy!!!! Thanks mojorisin! Feel free to share more of grannys recipes. lol

Ok, I am doing the stew, I added some water, hope I did not screw it up! I will let ya know how it turns out.

ill bring the actual recipe with me tomorrow,i know what goes in it but not the exact amounts!!...these are the ingredients tho.. stew meat (i use like 2 pounds) stewed tomotoes (i use the big can) carrots (like 2) 1 onion,2 stalks celery,potatoes.much as you like) instant tapioca (like a teaspoon i think) slice of bread ,shredded and sugar,maybe a tablespoon.. just mix it all up and put in at 350...for like and hour and a half..you cant mess this up ..the more taters you use the more liquid youll need...also i put it in a covered casserole dish...then get some good bread to go with ....mmmmmm    and the thing about it is that if you make a lot just add more of the stewed tomatoes so its not pasty,my granda would make it early in the morn and let it cook all day at 200 degrees,that works too...

LOL   Hey Trouble.......where is everyone ?  The social side has been so slow lately.  Sooooo......what are you cooking today ?  Yesterday was video day at my house, so I made a pork roast. I must say it turned out pretty good.
I guess I'm going to be the cook at the compound. I need some good/cheap recipe's that will feed 5 people (and 7 dogs). lol
