Canada is on the verge of banning oxycontin and it is expected that it will be happening in every province.

Doctors in print saying that opiates are not a good option for treating chronic pain...I hadn't noticed..(:
Personally, I think we need a world wide health revolution. Treat the causes of dis-ease instead of the symptoms. Our society is way too instant gratification oriented, period. Pharma companies are profiting enough. Imagine what the billions of dollars spent on Oxy could do put towards medical research? Not to mention mental health and addictions, community support programs, low-cost housing...
That's my mini-rant for the day.
