Raise your hand..

if you have ever gone to interview with jeans on! lol  Just had one - I kept it short to say the least! lol  Her application is headed for the shredder - maybe I am just being mean.  I just don't think it is too professional.

Thank you gals.  That is what I was thinking.  I have never gone to an interview in jeans and would never think of doing so.

Hopey i wish!  Since I can't have you - I think I did find a gal.  She is very nice.  I am looking forward to having another female in the office.  I am tired of all men! lol

I am a hard worker too and this one looks like she can keep up with me! :)

And if she wore jeans to an interview can you imagine what she’d wear EVERY DAY?  Yikes!

I worked for a large company for years, and since we did not deal face to face with our clients we were very casual.  I was a supervisor and would wear a tank top, shorts and flip flops to work… lol.  But when I applied for a higher up position I even dressed up – and I worked there already!  It just shows your professionalism and your seriousness about the position.  I was always taught not to dress like the people in your position would dress, but as the person they work for.  Always dress one step up – at least.

You're not a snob - you're a professional!!!

I have interviewed many 'interesting' people.  Hey, I figured I was being nice by not sending them home BEFORE I even interviewed them.  At least I pretended to be nice... lol

Shel, i feel the same way...

If you have an interview, i think it is only common sense to dress up! It just shows that you are serious about the position! Especially if you are working in an enviroment where you work with professional people. Even though i hate to dress up (all the time) i think i would have done the same thing you did, LOL

Now if it were a job interview for Walmart or something like that, then i think jeans are ok.

Wow. I hire about 15 people per year for the financial for I work for. When they show unprepared I send them home to change. Then if they come back I give them a chance. It shows character. :)

you know what's funny?  since I work in TV, if people come in TOO dressed up their resume usually goes to the back burner... jeans are the norm!!
