Dr Hook is still around? I'd love to see the original Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen again...world's greatest bar band...but, their original drummer Greg Dickerson died a couple years ago (suicide, severely depressed)..In their heyday they were the best.
Jim
I guess I'm the only country boy here so I'm gonna go out on the limb.
Diamond Rio has a song "Beautiful Mess" and the other one is "One More Time"
But I still love my Kid Rock! Can't wait to see him in concert again this summer "Wow"
Remember Dr Hook? They are a real trip to watch now!!
Yes...I am a fan of the Dead...have been since 66 or so when their first album came out (I grew up in the SF Bay Area in 60s) Saw them at the Human Be In in 1967 in Golden Gate Park..I've managed to build up a nice collection of then legal bootlegs. I got XM radio mainly for the Dead channel and the my son took me to see Springsteen and I've been stuck on the springsteeen channel for almost 2 years ;-) Mainly because my remote is dead
Jim
Are you a fan of the dead? I love them, have since I was younger!
Whoa...Black Peter...there you go...ever since I got on this Springsteen kick I haven' listened to the Dead very much.. Gotta change the channel on my XM.

2. One Day at a Time (Jeremy Camp)
3. Stealing Time from the Faulty Plan (Phish)
4. Little Bit (Lykke Li)
5. Down by the River (Neil Young)
6. Breathe in the Air and On the Run (Pink Floyd)
7. Rise above this (Seether)
8. I can see Clearly Now (Johnny Nash)
9. Cry out to Jesus (Third Day)
10. Hold On (Wilson Phillips)
11. It's not my Time (3 Doors Down)
There are some good song choices here and there are few I never heard of but am going to check them out.
Yes I have all of Kid Rocks songs. He has mellowed out over the last few years and his music gets better with age with him.
Those of you that have not heard him check out the song "Roll On" and you will totally be able to relate with your past addiction.
Good Luck to Everyone and I'm up to more song choices If you missed me the first time.

Another good Kid Rock song is "only God knows why"
"It's not my time" by 3 doors down is a good one too. I crank this when I have a craving and as sara said "rise above this" is a great tune, one of my favourites.
Do you have any other kid rock songs? i.e. "all summer long" "cowboy" I really like his music. Or Katy Perry? And for a flash from the past Journey has some great songs, but I am in lust with Jon Bon Jovi so all of his/their songs are my absolute favorites!! Music that makes me wanna dance is my choice when I need that 'kick".. Let us know what other music you picked. oh and Boyz to Men are good blues/rock..
I use melatonin and nyquil to sleep if you need some advice!
Hold On by Wilson Phillips. That song moved me the other day...WOW! I could relate that to my addiction and now recovery. Which is almost 7 days NO Trams and almost 3 days NO Vicodin...WOOOHOOOO!!!!! Life is great! Only if I could get more sleep. One day, I guess?!
cry out to jesus- third day (AWESOME SONG)
