Stronger by kelly clarkson...I always refer the lyrics to singing to the actual addiction itself...
I'm so glad this post is here, cuz music absolutely helped me get through it. Here's a few songs to give anyone inspiration:
"Mr. Rager" by Kid Cudi (Great song when you are just angry at the world, but mostly at yourself. And it really is about a man, Scott Mescudi, who has clearly been through a lot of the same "issues" we are dealing with. It will make you feel ten feet tall)
"Ambition" by Wale (It's about a kid from the ghetto that will do anything to make it out, but it def applies)
"Efflictim" by Kid Cudi (The words speak for themselves. It's a man pondering his own death and missed opportunities to love the people closest to him, and be loved)
Those were the three songs that really got me through and I would recommend them to everyone. I have more, but that's a good start.
Don't Stop Believing, Journey
Better Days, Bruuuuuce.,
Running on Empty, Jackson Browne (sad song, but his music makes me smile!)
Guitar Town, Steve Earle
Three Little Birds, Bob Marley

Kerrie Roberts-Rescue Me
Kinda keeping me thinking and fighting during withdrawals the chorus is below and it was just catchy and applied to me. This can be how the story ends.
Rescue me
Show me who I am
'Cause I can't believe
This is how the story ends
Fight for me
If it's not too late
Help me breathe again
No, this can't be how the story ends
