*Thinking about fishing makes me happy and takes me to a place where my addiction doesn't exist. I don't get to fish much, but if I could do something for a living, I think fishing would be it. Went this last weekend with a friend, and all my problems seemed to just vanish...
Ne1 heard eminems song "not afraid" it's about recovery....talks about not going back to that life again and how he's taking a stand. It's a really great song and it's helped me out alot... I highly recomend it.
Dominosarah I am ALL about the music right now with my w/d! It has helped me so much, and there are a few songs that I've listened to a million times that suddenly I see differently, Tom Petty Refugee for one!
"Tell me why you wanna lay there, revel in you abandon. Honey, it don't make no difference to me. Baby, everybody's had to fight to be free...You don't have to live like a refugee" <3 Makes me realize I need to quit moping around suck it up and face this head on, I don't have to be a victim when it comes to my problem!
Crazy thing is, we went to see Tom Petty in concert on the 10th, and it was then I got the balls to kick it, and have, I just have to keep it up day by day now!
The best one i would recommend which has really helped me out with this by giving courage and perseverence is two songs by eminems new album 'recovery'. He is also going through recovery from pills as well, hence the name of the album, perfect timing on it's release. Well here are the two songs i recommend going to itunes and gettin them:
Eminem-Recovery: 'Going through changes' , SOOOOO TRUE, CAN RELATE MUCH
Eminem-Recover: 'Not Afraid', helps make you feel that you have help and it's possible
I listen to a lot of jazz I like the promise by Michael neyman (the piano sound track)
I love female artists sia's album colour the small ones pulled me through my tougher w/D's especially her song breath me. Right now I'm stuck on eminem because he doesn't make me feel so crazy.
