I really need help

There is so much to my story..but to sum it up b/c of my disorders I am on Effexor and Xanax. I am so scared b/c my tolerance is building to the xanax so I wonder to myself, when will it stop? I just want to be normal. To feel happy again. I don't want to be addicted to anything but I also don't want to feel the way I did before I started taking these medications. Not saying that I am ok now, b/c I am far from it...but like I say it is a day to day process.

I would love to live my life med free but feel no depression and anxiety. It would be a blessing. so, if there is a way out there to accomplish that, I am all for it!

anyone is welcome to vent. I only asked in case there was a question in the post and I missed it.

I highly recommend the book END YOUR ADDICTION NOW as well as THE MOOD CURE they not only help people get off meds like pain pills benzos' and anti depressants but can help you change the things chemically through nutrition so that you can stay off of them.

i think she was just venting hoping for support. i encouraged her to see a physician...really needs to with her family history. she is my daughter. daughter of a major addict. i know how she feels and i just do not want her to fall prey to the dangers of benzo and possibly opoids in the future. i think she needs to hear from others as well as myself. thanks for your response.

Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns about this medication and addiction??
