Has anyone heard of the Marshman act in Florida. My sister is on methadone and I am trying
to find help for her. She has lost everything she has including her children. Can anyone direct me
in the right path??

Well, that can only be used if you think/can show she's a danger to herself and others. Technically, you can Marshman/baker act anyone. It only means they'll do a 72 hour hold with a hospital evaluation on a psych. ward. And even then, it would take an evaluation in the E.R. most likely to get them to do that.

I don't know if it applies here unless she's suicidal and is refusing help. Is she resistant to getting help?
