lil_addict and whoever.

Everybody has a quirk or two. They can be called a phobia or superstition. Some people look for four leaf clovers to bring them luck. Others carry a rabbit's foot, lucky bracelet charms, some pray, some refuse to walk under a ladder or turn around when a black cat cuts in front of them. I talk to myself in the mirror. Go to a bingo hall and you will see every type of good luck objects that is possible. Gambler blow on dice or rub them on a stranger's shirt.
There are thousands upon thousands of different ways of bringing luck or warding off evil. In the middle ages they drained blood to get the evil spirits out of the body. In Salem they burned people.
All this is because they are convinced or want to be convinced that these thing work. So whatever is your "Cup of tea" go for it and let no one tell you nay. If it works for you or you think it will work, do it.

I believe you can convince yourself of anything. I keep telling myself that "I hate pills" and after awhile, I hope it will seep into my every thought.  I throw salt over my shoulder :) and I pray a lot.
