lmao @ IBKleen..thats funny..
i love how my steelers love to give me a heart attack...i dont know how many more close games im gonna be able to take....Whew!!
Grandma used to tell me -- "Some days you are the dog, and some days you are the hydrant". I was the hydrant this week and got peed on a lot!
Man Narla, you were sure right this week. Now I'm disappointed in the Colts.
No, really I still love the Colts. ;)
Tsk Tsk......You should of picked da Bears!! My Raiders are back to playing their kind of football, losing but i will still cheer my boys on~~~
Minnesota did well today. I was really happy for the coach~~
Favre is still a putz.
I knew this about Brett as he came forward a few years back and talked about it. I do hope he is continuing on in his recovery. I will give him that much!!
Not sure if anyone is aware of this, but Brett Favre (who is definitely a putz) alongs belongs to our family of opiate addiction. They never talk about it in the media anymore, but he had serious problems with painkillers and had to go into rehab. I am sure that is true for a large number of NFL players, but I often wonder how they overcome it and still contine to play.
Go Falcons....let's make some Green Bay cheese toast!
I do recall vicotram, just don't remember a lot about him, but I sure do hope his skins win as I also picked Dallas! I hope he is O.K.
Glad to hear you are coming around with Favre!!!
Yes i love Favre. He is so the total package!!
You remember vicotram dont you? He was a huge skins fan. Wonder how he is doing.
So, are you going with Favre?
I am not sure what you are saying!!!
Just need clarification./...................
Im already down one as i picked Dallas and they almost pulled it out!!
Just looked at everyone elses picks, most of us are 3 from 3,and I thought I was going to be a winner this week, lol
Well I'm off to a good start this week 3 from 3,woo hoo
The post that was ***** out was me picking Minnesota over Washington since i missed that one so Minnesota it is......
I agree Sara with the benching comment. I'm not saying they should have benched him for good or for even the next game but due to some of his performances Jackson should have been brought in just to see if he could get anything going. It's almost like Childress was thinking if they can't do it with Favre then they really can't do it with anyone else behind center.
I'm not a Randy Moss fan but he got upset because the coaching staff wouldn't listen to some ideas he had when they were playing New England. I betcha if that was Favre with the ideas Childress would have held his hand while listening.
Bottom line is Childress was more of Favre's friend than he was his coach. Childress needed to act more like a father. Give your players a hug when they do something good but chew their butts when they don't. And most of all, don't favor any of your "children".
Look how Titans coach Jeff Fisher handled the Vince Young ordeal. Just think what he would have done if a player showed up the day before the first preseason game? I can guarantee he would have been riding the bench for while if he even still had a spot on the team. That's how most coaches in the NFL would handle it. Vince young sent a text to Fisher apologizing and his response to the media was, "A real man apologizes in person". Childress would have been apologizing to Favre. Well, Favre might have texted Childress being that he is so good at sending text messages.
Espn was talking about Childress before the Monday night game. They pretty much said the first mistake was Childress picking Favre up from the airport. They said he catered to him from day one and that's what caused him to lose his job and his team along the way.
I heard Deanna Favre started swapping Brett's prune juice with grape juice without his knowledge.
She said she was sick and tired of changing his depends.
Thanks drifter lol
Sara's picking on Favre again
geritol is like a vitamin for " older people" to take :)
Sara enlighten me what is geritol
I have had a hard time with the whole training camp thing too. If you are a member of the team then you show up when the other ones do to. Tjack was there for the whole time and for what? All the problems Favre has had and yet the coach never took him out or when he did try to do something Favre pretty much told him to get bent. The respect was gone for the coach and the team didnt play as one. Reminds me of addiction when we try to do it on our own....it doesnt work but when we get into recovery it becomes a we thing and success happens. AND another thing, all post game interviews are with Favre only....He needs to take his geritol with a glass of prune juice and figure out a good time to have a colonoscopy. What a PPPUUUTTTZZZ
I did have the Chargers picked but noticed your post to Narla. I didn't want anyone to be disappointed in me so I changed to the Colts!!...lol...Just kidding. It's hard to pick against Peyton! That is unless they are playing the Bears!! Wait, I picked against my Bears this week!! You never know with the Bears...they can beat the best team in the NFL one week and lose to the worst the next! Too inconsistent. Just watching them almost causes me to relapse every Sunday!!
Sarah...I'm anxious to see how the Vikings react to the coach change. Look at Dallas. They booted Phillips and then handed it to the Giants. It would make me happier if the Vikings started winning after Favre left though. I don't want Childress to take all the blame for their losing when Favre hasn't been helping the situation either. He's had the organization by the "cough" and they cater to his every need. What other organization would let a their starting quarterback show up the day before training camp and step in like nothing happened? And even more importantly what kind of professional QB would do that to their team? I use to respect Favre until he started thinking he was God and could do anything he wanted without it affecting the team he is playing for. Green Bay finally had enough and told him sorry, time to move on.
You guys are so funny.
Wow Narla totally impressed with you not even knowing football and jumping in here. The Colts have a lot of injuries right now but normally they are a safe bet. I love my Colts.
Sorry to hear you are getting a cold!!! *cough*
Philly is coming to Bear country, the weather is getting colder and da Bears have the upper hand here. I am not sure about Minn. yet but they seem to be happier now that Chili is gone. Have made some changes to the playbook. We will see.......
