so Friday my son and I are trying to low my snow thrower on ramps and onto a truck to get to a home depot for repair..we get it about half way up, i slip, it comes rolling back down, I fall on my back and the machine lands  on my chest..about 2 inches from my pacemaker..I also ripped open my pinkie and it obviously will need stitches and hurt like h e double toothpicks..my wife takes me to the ER..bad day for the ER..we were there for 7+ hours..wound up with 2 broken pinkies, 6 stiches and no major damage to my chest, other than bruising around my sternum, and both fingers splinted...chest still hurts...right finger hurts..follow up with doc tomorrow...

no telling what would have happened if it it my pacemaker....got the year off to a good start.

i could not take ultram
but
i have a friend who just had a masectomy and another friend who just had back surgery
they are both taking ultram as perscribed for ligitament reasons
and doing well
if you have the time

i had to read this everyday when i was going thorugh chemo
oh.....stay away from heavy machinery

thanka, GA Guy...i'm in constant back pain...doc has me taking tramadol..which doesn't do much...so...Im working on getting off of them.  I'm doing ok..one day at a time...some day are good..some arent't..today was not a good day as it was  6 weeks ago today that he died..and I just recently got some pictures of him that are tough to look at..

didn't think it would be this tough, but i've heard it can go on for a while...thanks for the prayers, bud...really appreciated.

You were very lucky it stopped where it did.  I hope you heal quickly.  Might be a good time to head for warmer climates!!!!

7 hrs at the ER??  Why do they call it an Emergency Room when it takes 3 million hours to be seen!!!!!

Anyway hope you are on the mend......
