Happy mothers day!!!!

More and more, we hear about successful women hiding a dark secret.... successful "moms" being addicted to pain meds or other substances..

its moms day. dont beat yourself up for what you did in your past. dont beat your self up for being a mom in recovery..

kids are not dumb.. they see  the change in you.. (even infants now feel attachment rather than detachment).
Kids want their mom and are loving and forgiving by nature. Its not what you did before. Its what you are doing today!!!

If you are reading this on this forum, TODAY you are a mom who is a good mom. It means you are on the road to recovery... its hard.. jeepers, just being a mom is the hardest job in the world...

Just wanted you lady's to know that you are loved and appreciated..

be blessed, be sober, hug your kids..

Frankie...Hey!  Sometimes I really like you!!    Thanks for saying all that you have...Mom's are the very fabric of life...I know that much is true...

I have to tell you and others that the very FIRST thing I did when I started my journey toward sobriety was to forgive myself.  I knew I would never go forward if I didn't and it was a difficult thing to do...but it works!!
