this really sucks

I'm on day 1 of going c/t and this really does suck.  I'm at work, but that's not too bad because most people are away today so I"m tring to get some things done so I can take a few days off.
I'm shaky and sweaty, sneezing like crazy, I ache just about everywhere and the worst thing is I know how to stop all of this. I'm not going to give in, but my head is really playing games with me. AHHHHHHH!

I'm relieved to hear you get to go home from work.  Withdrawing is like a full-time job.  It doesn't pay well, but the benefits are outstanding!  Hang in there and post often.
We're here for you,
Lisa

Oh, honey I feel so bad for you.  Oxy's are the devil.  and, having to work.  It's gonna get so much worse.....sorry.  your gonna have to take time off and probably go to a detox considering your situation.........unless you are a warrior.  I wish you all the best.

yes, I'm the principal.  A nice hot bath sounds really good right now.  This is way worse than the flu, at least any flu I've ever had.  I'm on my way home soon.  My secretary is going to drive me, I'm not sure if I could drive very well right now.  thanks to everyone!

Hi Hun,

You need to go home. You said you would leave if you didn't feel good.
You have everything you need there.

Please let us know how you are doing..

you are a principal right? correct me if i am wrong?

I promise you can do this...I have over 60 days and it was worth ever ache..BUT you have to want it more then anything..If you don't you will never make it..

I also agreed with the worst part is knowing what to do to make those feelings go away...But put in your head it is the flu..If you had the real flu it had to run its course...So let this run it's course..

Remember the hot baths, i slept in the tub one whole night..
but just enough water to cover my legs..
we don't want you to drown..lol..
Good luck

You can do this!!  Have ya checked into he Thomas recipe??  It helped my husband get through the first 7 days with a little more ease. Not sure about the oxy as his doc was hydros, but your symptoms sound the same.  My addiction is too nicotene and I have never been addicted to anything else, but have stood by him through his withdrawals and recovery.  You can do this.
His most relief came from the whirl pool and hot baths.  I don' t think he could have worked the first day coming off, so I commend you for that effort.
Hang in there and I will lift you up in spirit and prayer today!!

Hey hang in there, and DO NOT give in. Cause if you do you are back to square one. We all know where there that is. You are doing great. I know you feel like s__t right know but it's just your bodies way of telling you that it doesn't like the **** your putting in it. Take some meds for the achy muscles. and if you start getting diarrhea, take some Immodium. If it gets worse, go home and get in a hot bath tub and stay there. Dont give in to it. If you have questions about anything at all, post them. Good Luck you are doing great so far. My prayers are with you.
