on the other hand, a puffer has been known to help withdrawal from smokeibles, so it might help temp for your methadone withdrawal just don't get used to it - keep your chin up - making more of withdrawal is addiction talking - ignore as much as you can while focusing on a decade of national geo's and you'll be fine when it's over - your withdrawal may be a bit longer or shorter than everybody else, but in the scheme of things  looking back it's just a blip on the radar the time you spend dope sick * you're in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed.your path from before to sobriety* it's like going through labor you forget about it soon after * no worries

If you have attended NA and have any numbers , please call them, and have some other addicts come over and help you through this , watch a movie, ask for take out and  specialty coffees , ice cream, a walk int he part, a massage. to help you through this. Any addict that has their sobriety would love to do this for you, if you would only ask. I wish you lived near to me, i'd be over in a flash. Hang on, the withdrawal just about over, and then the real work begins, To learn to love your life without any substance abuse.  prescribed or otherwise. Sending love from afar. You'e in my thoughts and prayers Lissy

No, I don't think you should take the steroids that you were prescribed for your cancer treatment and i sure hope you're okay and have turned a corner with cancer forevermore. I really feel for you. . There are definite risks associated with steroid use that you can look up.  I'm an addict, so I know what you're going through. All i can say is this. I know it's a hard time when you're in withdrawal however, it is always best not to introduce a new drug that causes or possibly causes havoc in your body. It's hard to know right now, but it won't be long until you're through the hard part of physical withdrawal.  As addicts, the best we can do, is to stand up and take our dues, with what we've done to ourselves. It's not supposed to be easy, You're supposed to remember how hard it is.  The pride you get when you turn the corner, will be yours, you'll have earned it. There is no better, faster, easier way to withdrawal by replacing one drug that has side effects with another drug with side effects. I suggest that you thoroughly read everything there is to know about the steroid you're talking about, before talking to a doctor. If after you've read all there is to read, and have the same knowledge then see what your doctor says, and please remember, that doctors are in good measure the culprits that have prescribed addicts drugs, kept the sick and continue to overprescribe causing more problems with a person's body. I'm here if you could use  a friend.  When i went through my rehab, the doctor suggested i went on methadone, and i researched and decided to not do it precisely for the above stated reasons. I knew that i was only asking for another withdrawal situation so i just got the withdrawal from the cocaine, heroin, alcohol etc. etc etc etc and didn't prescribe to the "easier softer way" and when when i was done, i was done, and yet others in my program are going what you're going through, after being prescribed methadone for years and have had their sobriety stolen, not from a dealer , but a doctor. While i've actually been clean and sober and enjoying the freedoms,  since initially quitting the ones' in my program are still suffering addicts, addicted to methadone and going through what you're going through after coming to it themselves, that they can face the world clean and sober. .  I know you're only talking about helping a bit on an 8th day (maybe your worst day) of quitting, but as a clean and sober addict, I suggest that you stop putting your body through any more trauma and stop your mind from drug seeking behavior in any way you can. I went to meetings, I cried - alot. I got through it and so will you. Can you get into a detox to withdrawal?

ie.
