120 days sober !! it can be done !

Hi, my husband and I have 120 days off opiates today ! I was taking around 12 vicodin, percs or any other opiate i could get everyday for 5 years . We decided to take our lives back jan 3rd and it was one of the best decisions i've ever made . Things were really bad before , i hated life , my husband , and was not the mother i could be . We went cold turkey and it was very hard for the first couple of weeks and my husband still has a hard time sleeping but our lives are soooo much better , our marriage is terrific , we have money , 3 beautiful kids we enjoy more now then ever , I have lost 15 lbs and exercising everyday , we are laughing all the time and really getting our lives together ! I never thought we would make it another year and we are coming up on our 13 yr anniversary , I just wanted to give everyone an update since i don't get on here much anymore , and let everyone know that it can be done , go to church and pray , you can do it !.......... has anyone heard from aim1023 ? have been praying for her . anyways thanks for the support it has been a true blessing !

I love all the support it truly touches my heart , thank you all so much ! We have had our guards up and have had dealers showing up at our house wondering where our money is lol but they are not gonna get it ! Kyle i am so glad you have 121 days today , we started together and i will see you on 365 !!! good job everyone ! i'm glad my posts gives some encouragment ...

Hi, I am sleeping pretty good , I think exercising really helps ! My husband seems to toss and turn a lot thru the night but falls asleep pretty easily but wakes up a lot thru the night , we both had restless legs for months but that has subsided . Vitamins help a ton , calcium , magnesium, pottasium , c, b, htp5 helps with your mood swings and drink tons of water and teas to flush your system . I will keep you in my prayers . you can do it and it will be so much better!

That is very encouraging to hear! Im on Day 17 myself and trying to get some more energy. When you say your husband is having a hard time sleeping is he able to get to sleep and then wakes up or what exactly is his lingering issue do you think?
