23 days clean/ crazy dreams

It has been 23 days off hydros. Last night I had some really crazy dreams with alot of anxiety about death and deep thoughts about the universe. Yeah I know it all sounds crazy.
Anyone else have this?  I've been having a lot of anxiety too throughout the day. It comes and goes as well as being aggravated. This is the furthest I have come since I started almost a year ago. Am I still having wd's??

It's cool to read about someone else who has deep thoughts about the universe! I do that all the time and it has nothing to do with my addictions. I would like to offer you some advice about taking pain medicine for a dental proceedure......About 8 or 9 years ago I started having some trouble with my teeth. I had to have an oral surgeon cut out all 4 of my wisdom teeth. He gave me 30 percocets afterwards. I took them all within 5 or 6 days. I wanted more so I got back in touch with him and told him I was somewhere and they got misplaced. He said "You don't look like the type of person who would abuse them or lie about your situation" so he prescribed me 30 more. I conned him! My mouth was sore and I should have taken some asprin to relieve the discomfort but percocet was not really needed for me. A couple of months later, because my wisdom teeth weren't still there protecting my molars, I got the most incredible pain in one tooth. I have a pretty high tolerance to pain but this brought me to my knees. In fact it was probably the first time in my adult life that I cried like a baby. It felt like my jaw was being peeled off! I'm down to 24 teeth left. The ones I do have left are all pretty healthy but every time I had to get another one pulled or worked on, I passed on the narcotics. A few weeks ago I got another tooth ache like the one I had a long time ago and I got some vicodin for it. I broke down and took some and it really didn't help. It just made me realize I wanted the buzz still. I guess my advice for you, assuming you are a pill addict is try to go without it. There are a lot of non-narcotic medicines that do actually work. If you're anything like I am, you'll get it in your head that because you're in pain, it's OK to take a narcotic. For me, I took more and more and more. Believe it or not, what worked best for me this last time I had severe pain.......Drinking cool water. It only lasted for a few minutes before I had to take another sip but it did so much better than any narcotic did. For me as an addict, it's too easy to convince myself that it's OK to take narcotics. Maybe you're not in the same place as I am and you can take a narcotic for pain and use it like it was intended......I can't.

Yes the dreams are normal, I had some really bizarre and scary dreams after day 16 and would wake up full of sweat. But they will pass, and as far as taking something to releive pain after dental surgery you should be fine. There is no need to be in horrible pain just have someone hold the meds and give them to you ONLY when you REALLY need them.

Hi~  Yes...those dreams are strange but we get them!!  I used to have "drug dreams" and when it got to where I WASN'T taking pills in my dreams,I knew I was doing better!!

As far as the dental procedure...sounds like you'll be getting implants. It is painful and you'll need meds but it's wonderful you were up front and only asked for 2 days supply!

Try to have someone hold those pills for you and give them out when needed.  You should be fine.   :)

Also want to add. I will be getting a dental procedure done that requires an incision on the gum line and then they will drill into my jawbone. The dentist said I will need to be on a good med for atleast the first day if not 2. I told him if that is the case to only prescribe me enough for two days max!  Is this a bad idea?  I don't want to start the physichal wd's all over again. I don't know if 1-2 days back on would cause that after 23+ days clean. Yes I know there is the addict looking for any excuse but the thought of that pain in my jaw for 2 days.
