24 hrs no PILLS

I woke up this morning and I felt pretty good and delayed taking my 1/4 of a pill. Then it was noon and still felt pretty good and then 4 and now 830 feeling pretty good so I loaded up on my herbal sleep aid and Ibuprophin and a little tylenol and will be off to bed and start day 2 with no pills . This wasn't how I had planned it but it just felt right this morning so here we go so far so good . 5 weeks ago 10 to 12 lortab 10/500 a day tappering down to 0 today. I did this with 250 pills sitting right upstairs all I had to do was ask. The person upstairs is my mother she has a big script for them and never uses them all and the doc just keeps on refilling so she keeps hoarding them away. I had convinced her that my pain was bad still from a legit injury. She was naive and thought she was helping. the day I realized that at the rate I was taking them she would start to run out. she has never abused them and has real pain 3 back surgerys and only takes 1 a day sometimes 2
after 4 years. I told her the truth and asked her to a count her pills and keep track and if 1was missing she was to lockem up. I dont think I will ever take one but those are famous last words of a addict. so I hope this is the beging to the end of this and as always i thank you all for your support.

That is wonderful!  Being accountable to your mom will help you a lot.  I hope you will get some aftercare and support, so you won't ever have to do this again.  Being an addict is a lot of trouble...at least it was to me!!! : )
