25th day Tramadol free! The "monkeys" gone!!
Hi everyone,
Sorry about the lack of posts these past 7 days but just an update for you guys,
As the "question" states today is my 25th Tramadol (and Codeine) free day and I have to report I feel awesome!
It may be the thought of beating this and getting "the monkey off my back" and out of sight for good that is the most overwhelming for me as I truly believed I was going to be "Trammed Up" for the rest of my life and could not see a way out and away from them,
I fought on my feet rather than dying on my knees and thought "Bollocks to this shite" to beat it, took the cold turkey route after 7 years of dependency ( alarmingly 500mg of Tramadol every 90 mins 5 times a day!)
I lost everything, marriage, home, trust, friends, probably very nearly my 2 children and it would of taken my life if I carried on according to professionals.
So yes it's another " If I can do it anyone can" scenario so please stick to it whether your tapering or doing the cold turkey, be strong and lean on us within these forums and get that evil "monkey" off your back for good and start living real life away from Tramadol, it's only masking our real lives!!
Great to be back trying to help and please "lean" on me if you have any questions.

No longer am I looking at the world through rose tinted glasses now,
I see,feel,hear and smell the world like I used to as a child and really do feel "reborn" again.
We can now live life properly.

Hi Ricard I am up and turning the computer off..I just wanted to say....The ticker click over and I have 180 days/6 months..I have never felt so happy and goofy in soooooooo long..I just love the new me..Oh were oh were have we been????I did however just turn the corner into feeling great...I love that the light shines bright in our eyes and the spirit just seems to fly inside...The blessing come more...I am no spring chic but I can say..If u want a face lift...STAY CLEAN...
Yes there is a few ol aches here and there BUT..This is good & better then before....Hang in I swear it only gets better and you feel so much brighter inside ...

Congratulations on your 9 days! That is an awesome milestone so be proud of yourself for that, be proud of every day drug free anyhow.
Isn't it awesome when your 1st waking thought is food, exercise daily life etc and not "where your 1st pills are!" my day used to start immediately "popping" 500mg of Tramadol just to function.
Today is my 28th day opiate free and I still feel awesome, I'm a big believer in the "baby step" method of just taking every minute, hour and day at a time as it helped me enormously during my cold turkey detox.
As for workouts, man, I LOVE IT!! As you stated the release of endorphins into the brain beats a synthetic high from opiates hands down every time,
No guilt involved, just pride in yourself knowing that you have worked hard to get the natural "High"
Like your "OCD" I must train everyday, I had a good day yesterday, trained twice, got my cardio done then I got emotionally tested last night but resolved it with a 3rd workout.
I have a 6 mile round trip walk with a twist to do this afternoon, I'm going to carry a rucksack with approx 10 kg of weight inside, it's legs workout day today!
Let's have it!

Hey. I was working out / running ev day the last couple years. I LoVE my workouts. Bc I had to wk 9 hours the last two days and I was extremely sore from my wkout 2 days ago. I relunctanly decided I would give myslef a break last 2 days. But will tear it up the next 3 days for sure.
My preference is to be able to get back to working out ev day like I was. But realistically speaking I would be happy w 5 days a week. I'm kinda of an obsessive compulsive kinda girl. Lol. I have to get my wkout in for those amazing endorphins!!! I crave Tht so bad. It feels the void that I get from pills. It helps w my energy and mood. Gotta have it!!
U should be very proud of your clean time. I'm def still a newbie in my recovery. But am determined to beat this stupid beast (meathadone)

Just glad I stopped this junk bf it would get harder and harder. I'm 33 and just believe In staying busy. Keep ur mind off the junk. Ya know??

and Vic....i won't say on here what me and my co-worker call each other at work! haha we have a great time...makes the day go by faster to work with crazy chicks! lol kept me sane for the first couple of months after WDs....ugggg

As long as it's not a tram "junkie" you are good!!! You are doing great Richard. It wears me out just reading your post though; feeling kind of guilty because I have not exercised today. Oh well . . . there is always tomorrow.
