3 Months FREE of Fioricet

Good Morning All,
Just thought I'd drop in to say hello! I'm at the 3 month mark and couldnt be more pleased. I knew that I was in chains, but i didnt really realize just how badly until i stopped. My life is so good! However, i am struggling with sleeping all of the sudden. Its weird. I am hoping it will pass.
Getting off these pills was a huge feat for me. I had no idea that I had the self discipline to wean down and them make the commitment to never take them again. Advil and tylenol (togther) have become my go-to.
Once again, Im grateful for this site and the support. I could not have done this without the encouragement here, especially from Vicki595! You inspired me and made me believe that freedom was possible. You ROCK lady!
Enjoy TODAY! KP

Hey Kathy!  I haven't been here for a bit so I was so happy to catch this post!

I'm really proud of you; I know how you've struggled and how much you've wanted this freedom. You may find that you feel differently and that your emotional reactions have changed in a good way.  The drug changes our brain chemistry so much it's like being a new person when it's gone!

At three months, I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Have you tried Alteril? People say it works great. What's your caffeine intake?  There's a lot of caffeine in Fioricet so maybe you're rebounding from that...who knows?

You can now put the nightmare behind you and focus on your new life!  xo

Hi Vicki, I havent tried anything. lol I am just hoping it'll pass. I try not to take ANYTHING except Advil and Tylenol. You're so right about feleing different. I think for the first time in my adult life, I am seeing who i am. At times i think i was much more energetic and fun when i was taking them, but certiany not authentic :) time will help me to heal i'm sure. Thanks for your kind words. xxoo
