Ditto, ditto ditto!
I know you're scared hon...but if you DON'T tell your OB, it's far more likely that CYS could get aggressive. If you are honest, they will not take your baby. Please do the right thing. The medical team needs to be on alert and watching for w/ds, so they can intervene.
Very best to you!
I would come clean NOW, for your baby sake.. If he does need treatment they can prepare.. My brother was born this way.. I was 15.. Told the doctor as soon as I saw he.. The keep him 3 days..flush he system thur iv & something blue.. My mom was able to bring him home..
I forgot to mention that in most states its standard practice to do a toxicology screen when admitted to the Labor&Delivery floor. So, if you're thinking you can keep this a secret, you can't. You really need to tell your OB, as everyone has said.
Please talk to your OB about this. Most states do check the baby for drugs. If there would be a problem then the medical staff will know what they are dealing with. You have to be honest right now as there is a baby's life on the line.
Vicki is right! In Illinois, they do drug test all the babies when they are born, so they are going to know your baby has opiates in its system. So being honest is what you HAVE to do at this point! Honesty is always best in situations like these. Just talk to your OB and explain everything to them. its not too late to do that.
I wish you the best and congrats on yoru new baby :)
When did you fall and who gave you the Vicodin? In other words, were you pregnant then?
Just tell your OB that you took Vicodin for the pain after your fall. Just be honest about that. It's usually what you DON'T say that causes a problem.
