@Tired - relief will come, I promise. Congrats and stay strong! When you have the urge to use remember all the BAD things and reasons why you quit. As addicts we romanticize the drug, especially in times like these. We lost a best friend, mourne that and move on. Don't dwell, it will destroy you emotionally. And remember you're not alone!

The only thing I'd add to this list is Niacin. It is used for many things including addiction. Melatonin is a God send for sleep. And B-complex is great for fatigue and mood. And don't skip vitamin C or E, you need the antioxidants right now!!
So happy for you! You can do this for sure,,,such a positive attitude. Day 6 for me off Percs. I am hopeful, just not there mentally yet. I pray that soon relief will come. Good luck to you! The vitamin cocktail sounds great. KK
Not only do you have 5 fantastic days clean, but you're doing all the necessary, difficult things that have to be done to stay clean.
But I do have to disagree with you on one point - any real addict would never, ever think that 5 days is nothing. There are people newer to this site than you who'd give their right arm to be at 5 days. I remember how proud I was when I made it to 5 days.
So again - five times over - congratulations. Be very proud of what you've done and what you're doing. Fan-damn-tastic!!!
I no longer have access to any script. My original doctor stopped practicing and my new doctor is aware of my abuse. I have told my family, even my children. The ones I could buy them from off the street know I'm clean now and I've blocked their numbers just to avoid getting that text message full of temptation. I've researched n/a meetings but haven't gone to any yet. I'm still considering it. Thanks for the encouragement, I'm really proud. Many will think 5 days is nothing. But they haven't been an addict in withdrawal either.
Bunny congrats on 5 days clean, keep it up your doing great!!!
Great job! Doing the vitamin and supplement thing here too. I just tossed my old empty bottles of vicoden... i was eating them like pez from a dispenser! Love to read your cocktail.
Great job. Do you still have access to pills? Most of the time staying clean is harder than getting clean. You've fought hard for this, so make sure you do the things necessary to support your recovery -
Cut all your sources. If you have refills out there, cancel them.
Tell your secret. Tell your family, loved ones, your doctor, etc. if you keep the secret you will relapse behind it.
And finally, get after care now. NA meetings and the like.
Three things that are the foundation for recovery. Leave one out and the odds are against your staying clean.
Congrats.
