55 days clean off ALL opiates, but is ultram something to worry about?

HI y'all!  Well, I finally did it.  after all the miscarriage drama and being upset about the REAL info on suboxone, I told my doctors and pharmacist I was going to do an at home detox and they gave me everything I needed.  I went cold turkey 55 days ago, was miserable for only about 2 days (I had switched from suboxone to short acting opiates 30 days prior, so I prepared myself).  They gave me meds for the creepy crawlies due to withdrawal - you can't say you have restless leg syndrome.  It won't work.  You basically have to tell on yourself and be ready to get your life back. This is called propranolol.  They also subscribed clonidine (no, not klonipin) and xanax and ambien.  It wasn't so hard, Not anywhere as hard as I thought it would be.  But for about a month I had stomache issues and W/D aches and pains. I just took tylenol and advil for them and used a heating pad.  K, but here's the kicker.  33 days into my detox from the opiates, I get in a car accident, slammed at a complete stop at 30 MPH from behind.  Whiplash sucked, but I didn't run to the docs.  I DO have one question.  If anyone could answer that would be great.   Sometimes I just cant seem to rid myself of EXTREME achiness, from my lower back down to my ankles (this is from my original chronic pain disorder).  I have ultram.  I took three a couple days ago cuz I couldn't hang with the pain.  I wanted to cry.  Is this really gonna "set me back" on such a weak painkiller?  I've tried to get high off them before but it didn't work, so it's not something I'd be tripping on abusing.

Can you tell me what EXACTLY is so bad about tramadol/ultram?  Is it physical WD symptoms, mental, or what?  Also, How long do you have to be on them before you will experience bad WD from quitting?  I have been taking them - sometimes 2 a day, sometimes 10 (50mgs) for about the past month.  And I had a drug screen today and it came up negative for opiates, but positive for PCP!  I don't even know what PCP looks or smells like!  Now I'm scared cuz I have this new doctor who is acting like the cop of the medically needy community and I don't want her to report me to any authorities!  She took the time to pull up my last year of activity through some mega database of every pharmacy I'd been to in the past year!  The only positive thing about THAT report was that I ceased taking any hardcore opiates (norco, percocet, suboxone)  more than 3 months ago.  She didn't even address any of my real health concerns, just tried to priscribe me trazadone, denied my request for xanax (not a benzo addict per se, but yes on opiates, currently in recovery), and then I was asked to pee in a cup and the sh*t had more +'s on it than it should have!  But, I digress.  What EXACTLY is so bad about Ultram?  Especially if you've taken stuff way harder than that in the past.  Have you taken anything stronger?  Lookin forward to your input if you see this....signmeup

Thanks for the advice, guys!  I figured it was playing with fire so I haven't been getting into them.  I already know how something will even make you feel it seems like so much better for a little while, then when the pain comes back it's twice as worse.  Yeah, I ain't no dummy.  Those things are history. Thanks!

OMG....please don't take it.  You may not feel "high" but there is something very addictive about them.  AND..they mess with your seratonin in your brain.  I have detoxed from just about every controlled drug in the PDR, and ultram is the worst! (that and Ambien!)

Do yourself a favor and find something else to use for pain!  I wish I had never taken one of them.....ever!

Good luck with your pain!
