60 Days!!!

I haven't posted much lately, but felt like i needed to brag a little...For me and for the people early in their recovery. Posts like this gave me a tremendous amount of hope early on. It seemed SO far away...A day at a time and here i am. Its still hard for me to believe! I would have never thought i'd made it 60 days without my crutch.

It's been up and down for the last two months...no doubt!! But for the last 60 days i haven't had to plan my day around a pill. I cant put in to words how great that feels!!

For those of you in your first few hours, days, weeks...Keep fighting for this its SO worth it. It was SO hard for me to believe when people said "It CAN be done". WELL....it CAN!!  60 days clean... cold turkey 15-20+ 10mg hydro/oxy a day...I'll continue to work my recovery...I'm finding the "new me" is WAY better than the "normal me". I pray everyone going through this finds their way, and finds the strength to overcome that hellish life. Best of luck to ALL of you.

To all the people the people that may be "lurking"....I lurked for weeks...I think many of us did..lol..Today is a great day to start...Let us help you. this site can do wonders..:)

Congrats.  The first 60 days was a major mile stone for me.  Then 90 - 180 and so on.  You can do it.  Keep going forward.  Thanks for bragging - you deserve every bit of it.

I hope to be the one posting my days clean soon.  Good for you!!  I am truely happy for all that have got clean.  It brings me such hope.  I am on a taper schedule.  Was on 10 norco a day and am doenwn to 2 a day.  This morning woke up miserable but only took a half.    I am used to grabbing 2 pills no matter what just to start my day.  I wish you the best!!!!

Congrats on 60 days clean, thats amazing!  I love reading the posts here, I especially like that I see people like me.  People that are my age, have children and feel as ashamed as I do.  I really like how you said "finding the "New Me" is way better than the "normal" me!  Thank you for being an inspiration!
