7 WHOLE DAYS!!!!
I cannot believe that I have been codeine free for 7 days now!!!! Today has been pretty bad so far as im experiencing really painful stomach cramps and diarrhoea so im taking lots of Buscopan. Im also worried about going back to the clinic tomorrow as they are going to start reducing the Lofexidine that they have had me on for the last week that helps with the withdrawals. I just wish I knew when all these horrible feelings would go away - the restless legs and arms, bad feelings of panic, heart pounding, headaches, stomach cramps, the runs.... I could go on but wont. Im just feeling a bit down at the minute, even though im amazed at myself too, I never ever thought id last a few hours without my 'mate' codeine.
Aww congrats Madge! 7 days is huge. You should be very proud of yourself. I definitely agree with tooter- getting clean is the hardest thing to go through.
Madge this is great! You got the first week behind you! Congratulations! It will get progressively better from here! We support you 100%. Stay strong and don't worry about the clinic and the taper. Sounds like they know what to do. Best of the best to you.
Congrats on 7 days. That's awesome. I think codeine can be really hard on the stomach. I had some pretty painful stomach cramps coming off of codeine as well.

Madge, 7 days is hugh!!! I'd almost be willing to say that's the hardest thing you have ever done or been through!! It wouldn't be so bad if we knew what day it would be over. Everyone is different but it gets better and better after the first week. you'll wake up one morning and this will have been a nightmare to you. Hang tough and keep on posting. God Bless

Thanx for your support. I WAS using co-codamol, 30mg codeine, 500mg paracetamol and codeine phosphate 30mg. I was taking 14 tablets at once twice a day. I really hope you are right as feeling so rough really isnt great!!!! Thanx again, as I know you have replied to me before and I really do appreciate it.xx.
