7 days, oh sweet freedom

It was 7 days at 4:48pm today, not that I have been watching the clock anymore!!!! The last couple of days have been awesome, still in pain, but manageable, after injections on 23rd, hopefully get to cut back on Advil and Tylenol. Went shopping with husband yesterday morning, birthday surprise party for my dad last night, today went to lunch with my husband, then spent the whole afternoon in pool, soaking up the sun, all without norco!!!! The freedom was so worth the withdrawl, just know when your suffering, that the reward is so worth it!!!! Thank y'all, without reading here I would've never got the nerve up to jump, and reading before I stop helped me set my self up to succeed!!!!

Do you mean my pain could even get better in the next 3 weeks, and with the injections, that should help even more. I am in less pain right now then at my highest does of hydro/norco, 6 10s a day, in this past year it just stopped working. No sense taking something that's not working, and depending on a nurse to call in a refill, revolving your vacations around your refills. Oh sweet freedom!

Well a HUGE congrats on 7 DAYS!
I can tell you that there is no way I was able to do what you've done the past 2 days!!  That is great that you already feel so much better.

Since you are a chronic pain person, just wanted to mention that it usually takes about 30 days or more to truly evaluate our pain levels without opiates in our system.  And an added bonus for you is that you aren't an addict....just became dependent on the pills.
You sound really great~
