Anybody used loperimide to detox?

Quit 6 days ago and only had very mild withdrawals over the last couple days. First detox was awful..I MEAN AWFUL! I was actually shocked..very surprised. I had a hard time sleeping last night after stopping the loperimide (imodium ad) and I dont have any energy today because Im tired. My problem right now seems to be my husband who is also day 6...getting a lot of passive aggressive behavior. I had a real hard mental day yesterday but when night came I was relieved that I made another day. Im guessing hes having the same problem today..he stop the AD a day after I did. Anyways..anybody heard of this? done it? and what was the outcome?

Considering how easy the physical withdrawals were i hate to complain about mental stuff. Doing this together was hard but it would of been worse if one was trying to clean up their act while the other was not. I guess I need to start a new thread now but I want others to know to try something to help..dont just cold turkey it if theres ways to easily deal with the discomfort.

I just looked up the side effects/adverse reactions and I did not see anything listed about behavior changes,,etc

I have never heard that loperamide (used for diarrhea) has caused any adverse reactions. My guess would be that it is from detox. Its very normal to have increased restlessness and agitation and low energy while detoxing and esp the first week. I hope that you guys start feeling better soon. ((hugs))~Bkitty
