PM (private message) avisg. She can set up a good taper plan. She is all too familiar with Tramadol.
id recommend a slow taper, you take 40 pills a day, take 39 next week, 37 the week after that, 35, 33, 31, 29, 27 it will take a while but if you are serious about your life and children it will work, in less than a year you will be completely free.
taking 1 drug to quit another makes little sense to me..
Thanks for the replies. Has anybody out there had success with suboxone and tramadol withdrawl? My wife knows about the addiction, but that's it....I really don't want to bring anyone else into this. I've tapered before but wasn't successful, went cold turkey once and really don't want to go through that again. Will someone please tell me about your own experience with going to a doctor for treatment/support? Does the physician have to keep a record of the patient/doctor conversation? I'm worried about it being a permanent part of my medical record. To some, I know these are probably trivial reasons or excuses, but they are important to me.
Please help.

Welcome to the forum! I read your post and did a search for "Suboxone for tramadol addiction" and came up with alots of posts. Some say yes, some say no. I didn't read all the posts though. You may want to do a search on this and read more. But someone will be on soon that can really help. Also you can go to Suboxone.com, locate a doctor near you and ask them directly. Which ever way you choose to get clean, just get clean. And we're all here to help you.

Good Morning. Sounds like a slow taper might be best. I don't think cold turkey is an option with tramadol. Can your wife help with tapering plan and hold the pills. You know you have to do something. You can't go on like this. You need a plan to get off these. I think the med you are referring to is Suboxone. I have no idea how this works with Tramadol though. Others should be coming on soon with some better info for you. Keep posting and reading . This forum will help you so much.
