Acid reflux after stopping methadone? Anyone??

I'm just curious if anyone has experienced intense acid reflux after they've stopped taking pills? This stuff is driving me bonkers! My belly feels rotten almost all the time now and I just have to wonder if its related to detox/withdrawal? Any comments or suggestions appreciated! :)

When im not at work I have to use my phone too.  If you go to the very bottom of this page, click on 'full site' and then it works like it does on your regular computer.  You still have to log in and such.  Hope that helps make it easier.  It still slower, but at least I can find my way around easier.

No I rarely use the Immodium....if I did I would most likely never use the bathroom. Lol. That's not to say that I haven't a few times...but definitely not on a regular basis.

I had some heartburn when I was stopping. I have since wondered if it wasn't linked to my Imodium use and pending constipation. Are you taking Imodium?

Aww thanks Vickie :) I'm still here! And I still lurk everyday...several times a day. Lol. I do my surfing from my phone and its such a pain sometimes...so I read all I can and only get to post when it feels like cooperating. And it seems like I've had some especially rough days lately since I got sick, so I have been keeping to myself alot. Thought I'd give everyone a break....lol...nah, just kidding. :)

The Immodium multi symptom pills seem to help when my tummy is acidy.  And it does relieve the achey legs/rls in my legs a wee bit.  I take quite a bit of excederin/NSAIDS, so im sure that doesn't help.   I get a metallic taste in my mouth once in a while too.  I wind up snacking on, eating chocolate or chewing gum to get rid of it.

Yeah I've wondered if I've torn my belly up from all the ibuprofen in the last two months so I have stopped taking it. I'm still taking Tylenol to help with the leg pain that I have though. I just now made a trip to the store and got some Pepcid and Tums. I've never really had acid reflux problems (except during pregnancy) so I'm not even sure what it is....I guess I'm HOPING its acid reflux and I didn't screw my belly up with the ibuprofen.

And yep Gnarly...I'm beating this...slow but sure. Fifty-four days n counting!! I haven't posted much lately because I feel like all I do is complain when I do, so I've been suffering in silence. Lol. But it's all good...I'm kinda getting used to having leg aches everyday. Now this heartburn and reflux has come up though and it's starting to get irritating. Does reflux give you a super bad taste in your mouth all the time? Ugh...it's like I can't get rid of it. Made an appt to see the doc about it...just getting checked out to make sure I don't have something else going on, so pray for me friends!! :)

Hey girl...are you taking NSAID's for pain relief?  I have some tummy issues, too, but haven't been able to "tie" it to one thing just yet.  Back to my gag word....time.....and we'll see.  Just thought if you went from one form of pain relief to ibuprofen or something....it could be an answer for you.

I'm 6 months out and I still have GI issues...nothing serious, just more trips to the bathroom. It's not necessarily acid reflux, per say, but still digestion-related. I second what NoLife4Me said. Still, I take that any day over pills :)  I use Imodium sparingly but it does help!

I would have to say that for me, I had the same problem, and still do from hydros.   We tore up our tummy's and intestines pretty good with all those pills.   I don't know how long it lasts though??   Hopefully someone can come along and answer that question.
