Again..ur hubby is so very lucky to have u!
No one can feel the ain of addiction unless they have been there..it is not a 1,2,3 process to getting clean
I remeber when i quit told my best friend..she smoks alot and drinks alot..she came over a week after detox and said"You r so strong, u dont probably even think bout those pills anymore" i SAID "TURN OVER ALL UR WINE AND CIGS TO ME RIGHT NOW AND THEN i WILL ASK U IN A WEEK IF U R JUST TOTALLY OVER IT!"
sorry for the cap button there for a sec! I also know that those who have never experiwnced chronic pain can relate either..addiction and chronic pain are very similar..u just dont know the pain til u have felt it..hence...i never judge anyone nor attempt to judg them..i have not walked in their shoes..u r an empathetic and caring person...he is so very lucky!
Great to hear...like we say at AA..Go to 90 meetings in 90 days, if you don't like what you hear, we'll gladly refund your misery.
You sound very Positive and it sounds like you have found a wonderful support for your Husband and Good on you that you are going to Alanon.. gain all the knowledge you can on his addiction. I wish you both well and your Husband success.. lesa
