Almost 400 days clean :)

Hey all!! Today I am 388 days clean and feeling amazzzzzing! Life has been good to me lately and I cannot express how great it feels to be clean and sober. I have been off here for a while but do check in to see how you are all doing from time to time. It is kind of crazy that I go weeks  without thinking about my addiction anymore. I dont see it as a bad thing but getting back to normal in my eyes. Anyways, just wanted to drop a line, say hello and wish you all the best ! To new friends and old keep your chin up and stay strong. God Bless SUnny :)

Good for you Sunny!!!!  I'm always so glad to see you bopping back in with an update.  We all need to hear from those that have gone before us.

You were one I always followed around the forum...cause I'm not but 3 wks or so behind you.  I came from a bedridden state so didn't expect to feel as good as you were....but you were honest about how you were feeling at your 6 month mark...and it helped me IMMENSELY.

I'll never forget after that awful storm....and you typing from your place in the gas line.  You have continued to improve....and we all need to just hang on to that.....we don't all start from the same place....but we will heal...and we will get better....if we just keep on keepin on.

Bless you and MAJOR kudos on 388 HARD EARNED DAYS!!!

Thanks all! And scrambled lmfaooo. You are all on the right track and keep on pressing no matter what. WhydidIstart, to answer your question, it took a while. I messed with nodose and simplysleep and melatonin. It just takes time, id say I started sleeping consistent 6 months - 8months in. I am in no way saying that I didn't sleep well within a few months, but that was the time frame where I could lay down and just sleep, wake up and feel good. A lot of things for me happened around 9-10 months. The anxiety went away, the sleep returned and I felt happy. Like literally just happy to be me for once. Now over a year in, I am happierthan ever. Sleeping like a baby and fulfilling goals I knew I could, but wasn't sure when I would obtain them becuasei Was high. Skies the limit and we can all do this. I would always think I would never ever ever be better. I would be depressed andanxious for a few weeks like 6 months clean an di would questioneverything! BUt, faith and time, lots of determination and I am here. Happier than ever and it is a long happy stretch. Months of pure happiness. ( I Do have bad days wehre I am stressed, but it is humannature)... Oh, and I used st john wart, 5htp bla bla. I am in no way blasting them bc I believe they help, but for me, everytime I took them I watited. I waited,. I waited to feel "good". I had to give that up. I felt like I was chasing a high again. So I now exercise, run, pray and work hard. It works much better forme.. Sorry for the spelling ughhh my darn phone :/ Anyway, any questionsid be happy to answer. Iam no professional but I am clean and sober and love to help. GOd bless SUnny
