Ok, ok, I've got 84 hours clean from oxy, that's 3 1/2 days, gettin a lil better, still a lil rough
Hello Everyone! Congratulations on your clean time! What an incredible feeling, huh?
I have been reading this forum for a few months now; ever since I had the feeling 'this needs to stop'. I have been abusing oxycodone for 2 1/2 years and have quit 2 times unsuccessfully. I was not fully commited like I am this time. I am on the dreaded day 3, but the pain & other symptoms feel different this time because I am finally determined. It's like I'm welcoming all these symptoms instead of resisting them, because I have learned from all of you that when I get through this, my life is there waiting for me when it's over. I've had a secret addiction that has caused me to lose myself the way I used to be. I almost can't remember who I am anymore, but I can't wait to get that life back.
I've gained so much insight from you all, and I'm amazed at the members who have been clean for a while but continue to reach out to people who are new to detox & frightened by quitting. Thank you to those who have been there for others; I know you are making a difference in their lives. You've given me inspiration to quit, information to help me physically, mentally, & emotionally...and most importantly...the belief that it CAN be done.
Day 27 off Oxys, having dreams again!
Awwwww. How cool that people are still posting their clean time. Every day clean is a miracle. We are NOT by the standards of EARTH....PEOPLE...................... should be able to Give up -Clean up- Make up - and keep up----- much less stay clean one day at a time and have something of value to offer to society...........The old lie is DEAD...............We do recover. We do have value, We do have worth...................and we are the only ones
that know how to help another addict get and stay clean.
Thank you all for staying clean.................Just for today.
congratulations to all of you!!!!!! i am day 52, and even though i cant understand all you say on here, lol,(am from england) reading about all of you and the advice you give, has helped me so very much,
BLESS YOU ALL, sudie
