I am on day three no pills. The first two days werent that bad. I mean I had the runs. Stomach ache. The hard part was I was bored out of my mind. I kept doing little things. I really haven't been able to eat. Everytime I try its so hard that I hardly get anything down. I am at work today dealing with this and it isn't fun. I just wish that I could feel better already. How much longer am I going to feel like crap. I just want to feel better. My birthday is a week from today. I will be 23 and I know my family is going to have a birthday dinner for me this weekend... Will I feel better by then. It's not that I don't have much energry or anthing it's just that my stomach is killing me and I hate that!!! How are ya'll doing?

Hi Kelz,  I'm on day 34 and just getting over the stomach issues.  I ate bananas, rice cakes, toast and I drank ginger ale.  Those things helped me tremedously.  I also drank cranberry juice, the kind with no added sugar.  I drank this to flush out the liver and kidneys.  Also, drink lots of water, I drank almost 2 gallons a day for the first 2 weeks, this is important.  You can take the immodium, this will definitely help you.  Get outside as much as possible, the fresh air will make you feel better.  You could try chamomile tea to help you relax and sleep.  Drink a cup before bed and this might help.  It will get better, but it will take time.  You're doing great, stay strong.  Try listening to some of your favorite music, like music that will remind you of the better times before the pills.  I hope this helps and we are all here for you....Dave

Usually days 3-5 are the worst, so you may have another one or two bumpy days coming. Try and concentrate on the NOW. Every second of every minute of every hour of every day brings you closer. It WILL get better, it just takes a little time. Your addiction didn't happen overnight, either will relief from WDs.
Are you taking any vitamins? A broad sprectrum multi-vitamin is good, B (or complex) tablets, L-Tryosine is also good. The sell Hylands Restless Leg in Walgreens and is helpful for RLS, which you seem to have a pretty good case of.
Plenty of water, gatorade, etc.
Sleep is a problem, I know. That takes a while, even with benzos or sleep aids. Energy level is also slow, so just try to hang in being tired. I used a diet supplement called HydroxyCut, available at Walgreens also. Energy drinks didn't do it for me, but you may want to try the 5 hour energy. You may not be 100% for your B-day dinner, but you will be MUCH better than now.
You're not crazy, and you're not alone. Keep posting.

I am having trouble sleeping. I woke up this morning at 3:30 with the worst stomach pain. I am doing everything I can to get through this. I mean I exercise, I try to drink as much as I can, I try to eat as much as I can, I take hot baths when I can, and nothing seems to take this stomach issue away. I can't handle it. It's literly driving me crazy. I am so so so tired. Literally tired bc I just want a full nights sleep. And so tired of my stomach. Last night my arms felt like there were tiny bugs in them. My hands were going crazy. I didn't like that feeling. All I keep thinking about is that stupid pill and how I know it will make me feel better. I was in such pain this morning I wanted to end this so bad. I am at work too. I mean I don't know what to do anymore. Shouldn't it be getting easier every day? Why won't my stomach stop? I have taken Imodium and it didn't really help. I am so lost and just want this to be OVER!!! I pray all the time that God helps me through this. I even prayed so hard last night that he would take my pain away and let me sleep. I just want my stomach to stop.... I am so broken from feeling this way. I don't know. God please be with me and help me through this.... Thank you to all that responded. I hate feeling like I am alone. I feel like that a lot. I don't ever want to take hydro again.... I can't handle what I am going through again. I just want to feel normal. Thats all I want. I am not having a problem by getting screwed up on them. I mean they didn't do anything for me for the longest time. I just want to actually be able to not feel so horrible. Someone  please help me. Please. I am so sad... My boyfriend is kinda a help but he hasn't gone through this and he just says it will get better tommorrow... And it doesn't.

i am an addict - slave driver to opiates hydrocodone/percocets/etc. - i am having a very deep desire to quit and kick it all together. ive gone cold turkey at least 50+ times. and thats what addiction does, and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, repetively -yesterday i ran out of pills so i started detoxing yesterday about 5pm. - withdrawals were setting in today- and i remembered i had an ultram rx at the pharmacy and had my husband pick it up for me. so now ive taken 4 tramadol and smoked a lil pot and the w/d have stopped completely. i have heard different opinions on whether tramadol works for w/d or not. as for me, it works very well and i have a major major tolerance. its ridicilous. - so i just wanted to share a lil information any comments are appreciated. as long as it is ridiculing :-) im just another human being thats directed by a disease.

There are OTC anti nausea medicines. I bought some when I was detoxing but I never took it, but I know they exist. Maybe it would work. Worth a try. The immodium will help too, I don't think the flushing the system really matters. Your gonna withdrawal for a stretch regardless. If it makes your stomach feel better, it's worth being backed up a bit(if ya know what I mean). If you can relieve a symptom by not using the scripts then I think do it. Good luck.

Hey!  You're doing good.  Watch those benzos though!  They can bite you in the butt!

Can you get some mints to suck on?  That helps when I am nauseated.  I never had it during WDs. Lemon drops help people some also.

You can take imodium.  Your "system" doesn't need to have diarrhea in order to move forward!!!  Trust me!

You will be better by weekend.  I promise....as long as you don't take anything! : )

The runs.... Horrible stomach ache. They told me not to take imodium bc your system needs to be flushed out. I took one on saturday and it stopped me up but can't get rid of the nausea. My dr gave me ativan for anxiety, clonapen (can't spell) for depression, and i have sleep aides. I'm proud of you and your husband! It's hard trust me but, it can be done. I just keep praying it will get better. Wish someone could tell me how long this hell

Hey Kelz,
I am with you! My husband and I are on day 3 without any roxis. We had three Suboxones each for these days, and tomorrow have to face the world without roxis or subs. I can honesty say the suboxones saved us the first three days and made us feel almost normal. Now I'm dreading day 4 (tomorrow) without anything. Hang in there. you must be through the worst, and I'm sure you'll feel better for your birthday. Have you tried any xanax or klonopin to help you sleep? Other posters have recommened that, although I don't have a doc who would just write me a rx for it. Good luck and hang in there. YOu did right by choosing to quit. We're all here for the same reason and we're all tired of spending every dollar on pills, getting people to front us some, and then having to spend our whole paycheck paying people back! Good luck

Immodium. Worked for me and I only had to take 5-6 of them in a two day period. Stomach issues stopped and never came back.

If you're at work you're doing better than most!  You should be fine by your birthday. Get some pepto bismal for your stomach and keep your fluid intake up for the next week.
