Anyone who's preganant or been pregnant while taking suboxone

I am currenlty taking 8mg of suboxone 3x a day and am now 38 weeks preganant.  I am now getting worried about my son after he is born.  I've read so much information that I still have mix feelings as to weather or not he will have WD.  Alot of the info out there is based on babies born with moms who where on Methadone.  This will be my 6th child and I am so scared that he wil not be able to come home with us.    The whole thing is the week I started to take charge of my addiction was the same week i found out i was preganant.   If anyone has any thing they can share I would greatly appreciate it.

And I didn't post about suboxone & pregnancy because I don't know anyone that was on subs when they were pregnant. I did extensive research on pregnancy & methadone & talked to lots of pregnant women at my clinic. Hope all goes well! I'm new to this site, but if there's a way to ask questions & you want to talk to me, feel free to message me!

I had my son in 2009. I was on oxycontin pretty bad when I found out- at FIVE months! That's a long story in itself. But anyways, with methadone, it all depends on the baby, NOT the dose. I was on 120mgs a day & my son came home with me. A girl at my clinic was on less than that and her baby was detoxed at the hospital in the NICU. Just don't be too hard on yourself if your baby does end up in the NICU for a little while. It will be what's best. When its born the dr's have a w/d scale they evalaute babies on. If its showing symptoms they will make the baby more comfortable and safer than what it will be just going straight home-IF that's what's needed. Its not easy but just remember TRUE withdrawal doesn't start until like 3-5 days after the last dose. The baby won't understand what he's feeling so he may be irritable & cry & not sleep well. The dr's know what's best. If you do take the baby home & a couple days later you think its w/d'ing, get the baby to the Dr, blood pressure changes, dehydration from diarreaha & other uncomfortable things can turn into an admission if not treated in time. Good luck on your new arrival!
