Back on Opiates???

Hi Everyone,
I quit Fentanyl ct 20 days ago.  Went through pure hell.  I saw my Dr. on day 12 and asked him for a "mild pain reliever" to help with my chronic pain.  He prescribed Tramadol 50mg 3 times a day.  I started taking it on Sunday (nor knowing it was an opiate) and now I feel like I am getting worse instead of better.  Is it possible the Tramadol is hindering my recovery?
Thanks,  Barbara

You don't want to take that stuff!  I'm telling you that it is bad and harder to get off than real opiates b/c it also has SNRI properties.  So, it is like a pain killer and antidepressant.  Run away for sure.

avisg has lots of info in her journals on trams.  i am not sure it is an opiate...maybe a synthetic opiate..anyway, check out her journals or google it.

Yikes!  Really?  I took my last this morning.  I hope I don't have to go through withdrawels all over again.  I'm pretty scared at this point.

Yes, I would stop it fast. It can be harder to get off than a regular opiate and doesn't even do much for pain. all the best
